They can happen in meadows but the starting meadow will only have starred boars and deers if it is a big meadow and the further you go from the centre the more chance there is to find them.
Like 2 star boars will only appear if you are 800m from centre.

Best place for wood is a slope with trees on so you can chop down a tree and make a tree avalanche, can be in meadows or black forest depending on what wood you need.

There is no general dye system for all gear, but some items can be crafted in various styles

Yeah it is slow. The others move a little faster when paddling, but it is awfully slow. There's a trick later on to sail against the wind

You have to destroy the raft with a your fists or a weapon, you can’t break it with a hammer. You’ll still get your mats back.

First time playing, we were exploring coastline. We ended up across the harbor from our home, and since we were near Black Forest, decided to try a raft and sail home. Halfway across, biome changed to ocean and a storm showed up.

Then a sea serpent showed up. We made it to shore by the skin of our teeth, and the raft broke right as we got there, then the serpent swam off

We eat so much because we are undead ourselves. Everything in Valheim is spirit, so while we feel we are eating food, it doesn’t actually take up space in our ghost bellies, it infuses us with vitality

Depends how far you need to sail, but I do often use a karve in the Mistlands because it is easier to maneuver. I will generally plop down a portal as my very first action if I'm sailing anywhere, though.

Yeah, the Dvergr help, but they aren't a shield. I usually try to bring the seekers/gjall to the dvergr so I have fewer dwarves to kill 😛

The gjall will likely be there, you want to make sure you have fire resist pots and they're not as bad. A root chest will make the ticks much less painful, and if you're using fire resist you can usually handle the gjall attacks better. But the best way to deal with it is to use the terrain to your advantage, let them shoot the rocks and not you.

Just do be ready for the Gjall to see or hear you. They don't typically go away until you kill them in my experience. Like I said, aim for their squishy bottom bits and they go down much easier.

Assuming you mean sea serpents, they don't spawn during clear days (or shouldn't in vanilla valheim) but iirc storm serpents do not despawn, so you may have run into one that a player ran from before

well i got fully maxed padded armor. 110hp. Doesnt help much against 1 star seekers, if I had bonemass i’d have killed them but without it im good as dead. I spent the bonemass effect on killing over 10 seekers to get to an empty room

It's a good start... depends on how many bronze items you want to make, but that'll only make 60 bronze total, which you will need at least 6 copper for a forge, 3 bronze to get a workbench upgrade, another 10 copper and 2 more bronze for forge upgrades, and a bronze atgeir alone takes 20 bronze to get to level 3. You might want a bit more, make designs on your next node 😉

Copper knife works well too, especially if you get a sneak attack, but like in caves and such you can instantly stun them with an atgeir spin, and they stay stunlocked with just followup attacks

it was two of us against a 1 star seeker and reg seeker. killed me. bonemass really is useful, it almost makes the damage not noticeable so when fighting without it i get brazen. and anyway in a tight space they'll kill you cause its hard to run without stamina

Lower the camera, when you look from above the character looks at the ground which makes him stoop a bit - if you look up he straightens up a bit. Still does have a bit of a stoop at all times, it's just more evident with the troll suit due to coloring/model.

I’ve played through the game with all settings set to default, but personally I like to turn off raids because there are times when I play that I’m a little more distracted, so during those play sessions I like to do more casual things around the base.

it's expensive to do but if you place some personal chests a bit away from ur base wall or builds in general, a perimeter of them basically
they give you enough time to go kill stuff

Personal chests are amazing as bait

on the down side, they'll attract everything without raids too

A couple play-throughs ago I made a tall wall with stakes in the front and a walkway on the top. Using deadriser I spawned skeletons until I got three archers and left them up there. Remarkable defense though I had to respawn skeletons every few days. Eventually it wasn't worth the effort.

Fishing is awful. But if you really want to level it, you can just cast over land - the time you spend reeling in is what levels you up, so you can do that without actually fishing at all.

Me too. However, I did read an interesting take a while ago - consider harsh vocals as an instrument; sure, the vocalist is saying specific words, but it helps to consider it in terms of the larger band. Think of harsh vocals as you would the bassist, or the drummer.

It will help, but you are mostly just making it easier to harvest their materials 😉 Frostner is my go-to for him, or a silver sword if you have that. Definitely fire resist barleywine though.

I just rarely make a silver sword because it takes more silver than a frostner to upgrade, and the frostner has a lot more usefulness across more enemies since so much of the sword's damage is spirit, which the vast majority of enemies are immune to. It's only good against Yag because he takes spirit damage.

Frostner is my fave weapon and my highest skill. I made a silver sword but have not really used it much. My sword skill is pretty low

I've found that some wolves disappear as the sun comes up. I saw a wolf and then suddenly, there was just a Grey Dwarf there. I don't know... it only seems to happen when there's a full moon at night.
