I just make more armor than needed so I have backups when I go after my player totem with better that 0 survivability.

It's the player backups I think that matter more. Skill loss is more tangible when you're at the plains biome and beyond.

If you put cover over it and allow for smoke to escape then yes, it will function like normal bonfire. But if left in the rain it will not go out and instead just its fire radius becomes smaller 😄

hi, I’ve heard I should not explore the deep north in my world until it comes out (so it doesn’t mess with land generation).

but should I also limit exploration of other biomes too? I don’t want to restart my world (big projects on a dedicated server with friends and fam), but I am I unsure if I will mess up any potential updates that come to previous biomes with the deep north update if I explore too much

Probably want to limit exploration some yea. Like maybe try to leave one side/area of the map unexplored.

Most new content will not generate in explored areas (pretty much if it shows on the map, its explored). I don't think it has been officially declared if any biomes other than Deep North will be updated, but I find it likely that they might add a few new things to some of the previous biomes

Nothing major probably, but potentially something you could miss out on if you explore the entire map
