Yeah I get very annoyed when people talk about this matter. When I was a kid everyone said that non-sugary soft drinks are for diabetic people and in others it causes diabetes, and you are a wimp if you drink those anyway. Then much much later people started saying that drinking sugary soft drinks causes diabetes. And on and on the rumors go on. Healthy diet can contain some sugary drinks and non-sugary drinks, but of course with sugary drinks its much easier to go wrong.

So I want to do an infested cavern in the Mistlands. I can eat bread, lox pie, and serpent stew. I have a lvl 3 Silver sword, 66 total armor from fenris legs, a lvl 4 wolf cloak, and the padded armor chest peice, plus iron brooch. Realistically what are my chances?

Flip side, are frost arrows or needles arrows better? (Draugr Fang)

sounds like a decent late-pains equipment, chanches are good, i would prefer frost arrows because they slow down mobs plus big bugs are resistant to physical damage and that would lower needle arrows advantage, then it comes to rng, some mines have just some regular seeker, some can have multiple (and starred maybe) soldiers

if you have the root harnesk maybe consider switching to that as the bugs do a lot of pierce damage (especially ticks, 1 and even 2 starred ones are quite likely to infest mines)

that can work, im actually anything can work, bugs are resistant to all 3 physical damage types so no big difference, just use your most damaging weapon, knives are good! maybe underrated because sheer "numbers" are low but you got to consider they're very fast, dps could result better than "big numbers" weapons

yee however repeated strikes trigger their stun = more dmg by your x strike

and you'll benefit from the stun because you got faster dps

yup dps is basically what you looking for, exceptions could be: no multitarget penalty (swords and 2 handed weapons), frostner for freezing/knockback, or atgeir for ever-staggering alternate attack

I think it's better for devs to take their time than to release a steamy 💩, which is what happens more often, to be fair. I played Dune: Awakening heavily for months starting with the 5 day early release. It was a buggy, unpolished glitch fest, for example, day 3 of early release they shut down ALL servers for 6 hours because of the worm flying up in the air and destroying peoples bases that were nowhere near sand (aka Sky Hulud)

Yeah, thats why I have been easily patient with Valheim. At least I haven't been given bug heavy piles of C$%p with each new biome. The list of big studio games that were so called "full" releases and have taken years to actually become as bug free as Valheim has been for me, is a rather long list.

Currently I live in Japan, and they have a way to serve coffee here that is literally called "americano" (which would be the "American" coffee), and I think they do it that way too, like you said they do in Italy. Probably they took that from Italy.

I need help, my F5 console doesn't work and ive troubleshooted a lot. Steam launch property has been tried and retried 5x, f2 menu does work, f5 key is working on my keyboard. I dont know what to do. Also, tried with and without mods, no change - even a mod that enables console through the enableconsole.dll file

Yep, generally all structures you built will give you all materials back, with few excepions like campfires and light sources like torches

While I didn't expect IG to take so long to wrap up on Valheim, its not like I am going to complain about it. I've been having tons of fun re playing it solo, with my wife, and occasionally even friends. So its not like they are keeping me from having fun while I wait. I've been having a blast.

Plus, its not like they are keeping me from playing any other game I love, or have yet to even play.

Speaking with a bit of insight on console ports, dedicating porting efforts for more than half a year is a massive undertaking, I will only say it's unlikely that these efforts go on for a year. I don't know anything obviously, but when I worked with porting companies, timelines were more strict than ever.

Its the same company that did the last port, so at least they are very familiar with Valheim coding.

If I am low on food, yeah. I just try to not let them be able to get me from behind, and kill them. I usually get 30 something, some times 40+. If your in plains appropriate gear, you just have to fight smartly. If your just going into the mountains for the first time, then you have to worry.

Once you learn how to handle wolves, they can raid you and you won't worry too much about it as long as you keep a health potion on hand and you can get to the point to where you do not need Bonemass to survive it. Just do not stand still when they swarm you. Move, kill one, move kill another, and so on until the hunt ends.

Of course it can depend on many factors, apart from timezone. When i worked in the fields some early morning looked a lot like deep night to me for instance

Getting up in what feels to me the middle of the night; aka 0300 - 0400; is killing me.

The trick I'm using is to keep in that rhythm during the weekends. That way you're simply switching the day / night routine by 12 hours; which makes things a lot easier.
I'm also lucky enough to be finished at 0600 and getting home around 0700. So I'm able to stay up a few hours, get some sunlight and all that.

All-night-shifts worked better also for me, heavy but i adapt a bit, changing shifts with nights amongst them or super early in the fields with the winter darkness was the less bearable (🐻)
