I understand the consoles are all about fighting DRM issues (that's what sells them), but if there were custom scripting language for the mods (server side that client can read and apply), that wouldn't interfere with console's OS internal files, only server-client side.... like it's done in many games, yet again... small indie studio as you said - who would convince Sony and MS it's only that and not the "inconvinience" for XBox live and PS+...

I'd love to hear developer's take on this (them who already released this masterpiece on all platforms), to better understand what's going on, and I as a developer (different sphere) would love to help if I can

We have had plans for a official mod support for years now.
But valheim is still in Early Access so we haven't had time to look at an implimintation yet. or if the community have solved it better already than we could have done.

We aren't against modding our game either.
The game will not block mods either.

If I’m not mistaken, I believe the advantage of going early access is to get your game out there for kinda ‘testing’ how it turns out. Ideally, your player base is small, but still able to get good feedback. Then once you release, you advertise the game more and often get a huge boom in players.

Valheim is a bit of an anomaly, because it’s already really fleshed out, and really popular

Well, you're canonically already dead. Odin casted you, the best warrior among war, down to Valheim to overthrow his enemies for a chance to get into Valhalla. When you die, a text pops up that states "The gods are merciful", which makes me believe that Odin, who is known to watch your progress, sees it and has mercy on you

Let me try and give a sort of example- a player has discovered a use for every food item they discovered from meadows to Black Forest. So they could be lost or confused on why bear meat doesn’t have a use- perhaps they even think they missed something?

Potentially, a precedent could be set that other meats also don’t have further use/recipes.

Bear meat is a good simple food for meadows/black forest and to do stuff around the base imo. Much better than the other simple early meats, and doesn't "waste" other ingredients to make a recipe. So I use it when I'm just building stuff for example. It's still good for some swamp too, if combined with other higher HP food.

If you were a game studio & publisher, which period until EOY, since this is Feb end of month, would be the best to launch an 1.0 game/new game to ensure maximum impressions and sales etc.?
I'd target:

• Easter holidays
• early summer after exams but before people go in vacation in august and my team is also out of office and cant react properly to feedback.
• early autumn - september - when everyone returns to work - the risk here is that schools also start, we, adults have the worst period of work from Sep to Nov so maybe not the wisest.
• Before winter holidays
  I guess 4 big windows and we shall find out which turns out to be true.
  The game and studio needs a good, visible, big bang launch that will generate gmv in the following years.
  Historically hearth and home was in Sep, mistlands in Nov and ashlands in april-may.
  I assume its gonna be late june or early july for DN

I know how businesses work, and of course expanding to other platforms is beneficial for Iron Gate in form of sales.
Games on Early Access usually start slow in sales and by that game developers try to get enough marketing for their games to ensure success after EA state. Valheim is the opposite of that: critical success and massive sales after game was launched on EA, which massively ensured their business activities for longer future, so Iron Gate most likely have had no such pressures as other indie studios for pushing game out of EA for bigger sales.
Also, their publisher Coffee Stain has not pressured Iron Gate to push game out of Early Access quickly to maximise sales or other reasons.

Hence my earlier reply that they most likely not have to worry about more sales for the sake of it.

the closest thing to a 'tease' we have so far IMO is the still highly speculative theories || about the "winter child" based upon various references in runestones in the Ashlands as well as I BELIEVE some of the dream text blurbs might possibly be intended as references to the same || and while I find that one the most plausible theories for which there exists plausibly supporting evidence it's not inconceivable that could just be pointing to some lore or possibly game impactful yet to be seen thing RELATED to the boss, but not the actual boss themselves
