If I were to give you a club and sent you naked to kill a wraith, how would you do it?
you'd get in attack range > sprint backward to get out of their attack animation > come back to hit them

Now, if you added a feature where the NPC will cancel their attack animation if you're out of range. you'll be forced to ROLL and use stamina INSTEAD of sprinting backwards kiting just like how we do with 99% of NPCs in-game

this will add another layer of difficulty in combat forcing you to properly manage your stamina so you can roll while still attack

Now if anything, this will make stamina even a bigger problem in fights. so I'd then probably add a feature to go around this

That's how YOU fight them. Nobody is making you run in and out of attack range for everything you kill. It doesn't cost a lot of stamina compared to other strategies but also isn't particularly fast so it's not always the best option.

all I'm saying is, I've noticed a pattern that I'm fighting most of the NPCs in the same fashion and there's no difference except more hp + more dmg

Parry for a quick stagger, jump and hit while falling if the attack is too strong to parry, jump towards them or use a longer attack to hit them first.. there are so many different ways to fight, and you are choosing to do it the same every time.

@runic ibex nope - and i'm not gonna to. Cause right now at current state of progress there is already 24k instances and it's done only about 30% or close to. So when whole build will be done - it will be something around 60-80k of instances. And that is just exterior. And if adjusting there interior - that will be over 250k instances - what my PC cannot handle 😅
my PC barely can deal with 65k with creaters around. And that is actually the reason why i choose Hook Mountain to build up on top of it - so it will have less interaction with other biomes 😅

Finding one might be harder true, but inside it's bit easier to just break doors and deal with possible cultists and ulvs by evading them or with ranged attacks, in swamps during night you might get swarmed by mobs easier.

1. I didn't know about it
2. I'd already done everything I wanted for the playthrough itself

i believe inventory management is a core part of their design vision. this is my opinion. but they want us making decisions about what to bring on an adventure, how much to carry ect. solving problems of what do do if you have too much stuff ect. they want space and weight to be an issue for you to solve as you progress through the game.
