First they need to release us on the game so we can break it in unexpected ways, then they need to fix those and only then can they start thinking about bringing it out of the PTB.
So it all depends on what bugs we find and how easy it is for them to fix those.
So they can't put a date up because they themselves have no clue on when they will deem it fit for live release.

finished up the blocking calculator spreadsheet. it allows you to put in values from your current run, including weapon/shield block armor, parry bonus, armor, resistances/weaknesses and world modifier. can also check which attacks are blockable or not.

'not responding' is not the same as crashing. You have to be patient, it can take a few minutes to do what is needed.

I have noticed that Valheim does not like if you click on anything outside of the game as well. For example, if you have a second monitor with other programs running and go to do something outside of the game while it is rendering the world, it can cause the game to crash. Just gotta let it cook for a minute or so while it builds everything.

Not with the character, no. It will not roll back though. The test betas always have a chance of causing issues, but the devs try their best to not let it happen. You should in general make backups of everything before using any of the betas.

Reposting in general sorry if its annoying but - Hey new to the server, i was just curoius if i started a new world (in PTB) now to get ahead of some of the early game grind (mainly the bronze age) would i still need to create a new world when the official update is released to make sure the versions line up? or would it be alright along as we mostly stay out of the ashlands? I understand the prep guide says to make sure you have backups of both world and character to make sure they can be played in not PTB or "older versions" but does this apply to my question?

Small question with regard to the release of Ashland - if we play the public test, will we lose the world upon official release? Or will the official release add features over what will be in the current state of the game? We simply do not want our world to vanish when the game releases.

However, that same PTB save should be fully forward compatible with the full release of Ashlands once the PTB period is done.

every once in a while I remember that leveling the bow skill doesn't decrease draw time and it makes me a little sad lol 😆
|| I do archery myself for fun and I really like it! one thing I was taught was "you should reach full draw quickly because you only have a short window to fire before tiring" And it's so tru! My arms are weak little noodles and they get SO tired if I hold my shot for more than like 2 seconds haha

Hecc, if you can handle that fight just fine, you must be familiar with grinding and overpreparation for tough challenges. That's pretty much what you need to do to thrive in the later biomes of the game here.
