He's a boss. It's supposed to be hard 😉 But yes. Quick tips: use the hoe to flatten the area around him so you don't have to contend with deep water, use the iron mace as the highest damage against him, and have the best food, and use poison resist potions instead of the root helm since it provides more poison protection.

A sledge or stagbreaker can help with his adds as well, and if your jump skill is high enough you can get a short rest break by hopping up on top of his altar and you're out of range of most of the attacks

On our next group playthrough I'm doing a serious tweak of the recipes. I hate the grindy parts but also don't want to be overpowered so we're gonna crank the drop rate to 3x while requiring more resources for certain recipes.

It's a work-in-progress. But, basically, I'm imagining it as two teams trying to push a chicken around a field trying to get it through a goal. Maybe as close to soccer as we can get. But, I'm in Australia, so maybe elements of AFL.

I really like the idea that we can use the vanity clothes from Hildir to make team uniforms.

Not quite... if that were the case, the ball needs to be equally detrimental to all players. A tick does that, the puffer fish only detriments the kicker.

The tick is actually quite fun... it would mean the teams have to manage their health in order to get the tick into the goal.

With a substitute bench, teams could get a replacement player when one dies from the tick.

Getting a tick into the centre of the field for a fair start is the trick.
