was just the same thing copy-pasted 50 times

we can remix it to have a vanilla-ish style tho
all those songs do sound cool
some are just the vanilla versions with an effect overlayed on them i can tell but the others are cool
that is intended as i want to make it feel like its vanilla but not at the same time
sounds like a cheap and somewhat low effort way to accomplish that
yeah
i personally think t4s are around the upper limit where each unit has its own reasonable niche in design space, i'm curious how you're designing the mod with this many unit tiers in mind
even if t7s are solely boss units that's still 6 tiers that the player can use, right?
agreed, past a certain point making new niches is almost impossible
seeing as higher tiers are larger and (generally) slower, at some point the amount of guns you can throw on it is outpaced by how big the unit gets, and thus, how easy it is to overwhelm with turrets
yeah, i find t5s with unique and powerful abilities as the cornerstone of their design to be the most fun to use rather than just fatter blocks of stats
oct is probably my favorite t5 design in the base game for this reason
(at least from a campaign perspective)
agreed, i quite like how it works as a moblile hangar
a shame that flying units are hard to balance for other reasons
would be cool if you could make flying units that can fly over everything except for natural walls - thus making terrain actually matter so they can't skirt around map borders
i do have some ideas on how to solve some design issues with flying units but i won't bring them up here as not to derail the convo away from this mod

spent 3 hours just making comet's lasers not tear through everything
an annoyence with high investment units like t6s and t7s is that instakill mechanics don't get to come into play without feeling unfair
not even talking about custom ones or OP turrets, regular drowning or locking units out via crazy status effects doesn't feel fun to fight after building a giant factory and making what should be a god-killing unit
there's a fair few niches which open up when you keep units themselves low cost and the infastructure to build them high investment instead of the other way around, but that's less aplicable to mods with larger factory endgames
thats why i erased the idea of t6 and t7 and just merged them into titans

What is the state of the mod
I mean it is complete or in beta or something like that
I', start to thinking it's in "Remaking the whole mod again and again"
oftentimes, mods aren't made to be enjoyed
sometimes they are made to learn how to make a mod
aka practice projects
abyssus was one of my projects, and it wasn't really made with other people in mind
something i wanted to learn from making, and it accomplished that i guess
as i see it, this mod is like that but for hyperium
i may be wrong

it feels good to get something playable out there, but the process of creation is also fun initself
that + learning more about how to mod is a good portion of devtime for about a year or two (very rough estimate based on feel from being in the comunity for longer than that lol)

How about a end game turret which shoots an orb , which is homing and pulls every enemy in its path radius and after a 5 second animation, executes all of them with two fold blast , first blast is just a high damage aoe blast then divided into smaller orbs , also pulling any remaining unit and chains every divided orbs with a animation then a second single targeting blast for each unit per small orb

crucible: - ore -> liquid -> item -> liquid -> item
items get mixed into a molten alloy and said alloy gets solidified - ore -> liquid -> liquid -> item
liquids will get mixed and forged into alloys - item -> liquid -> item
non-ore / pure metal smelting - item -> item
generic crafting
advanced crucible:
ore -> liquid -> item -> liquid -> liquid -> item
ore -> liquid -> item -> liquid -----^
