No, its probably going to be like 1 or 2 phantom gel mixers
Which im planning to be anywhere between 3x3 and 5x5, probably will settle on the size that ties it into the payload printing progression
make the tank need tanks of phantom gel and say that it just cant be compressed very well
make each tank have like some 20 seconds of phantom gel productions worth and can run the generator for like 40 seconds
like if each phantom gel mixer makes like 5/s, the tank can contain 100 units
ofc its like forced to be printed (player cant place nor carry it) and add some payload loader stuff
The entire point with printing stuff is for the player to carry it into place
could you make the generator thing be some sort of payload thing where you need to put payload into it and it outputs the payload empty
I mean, doesnt feel like the sorta stuff the SER would be
Its not a batch processing device, its an efficiency improver that needs a stream of liquid

The SER is supposed to be cool and unique with how it recycles power and influences your factory's layout, not with how the inputs work
don't get me wrong those aren't entirely bad ideas, they just don't fit the SER. I'm writing them down.

i will get down to making a power generator you won't encounter until Layer 3 but im sooo inspired rn
the whole setup will be called the electrochemical powerplant. and it will consist of 5 unique buildings: cathodic electrolyte mixer, anodic electrolyte mixer, electrochemical anode, electrochemical cathode and anion bridge
it will also implement 5 unique liquids that are used basically mainly for this
anodic electrolyte, charged anodic electrolyte, cathodic electrolyte and charged cathodic electrolyte
i guess @lapis sonnet has full authority over my mod now

its a place where electrons can move from one electrolyte to the other because its electrochemically favourable, but we don't mix the electrolytes, so its like, either a salt bridge or a membrane
what's a salt bridge
for the record, electrolytes will also be used to construct some higher-tier units, so you might find yourself in a situation where you have just a cathode to charge up your electrolyte to build a unit
Anion membrane
anion membrane right next to the anode and cathode
the cathode eats up 100 cathodic electrolyte/sec, but outputs 95 charged cathodic electrolyte/sec, which can be discharged into cathodic electrolyte again
those numbers are up for debate but the main point is, eats a ton of liquid, outputs a little les of the byproduct
now the anode eats up its charged electrolyte and returns regular electrolyte
and you can turn charged cathodic and regular anodic into charged anodic and regular cathodic, which turns 2 byproducts back into useful products
of course, the anode and cathode waste some electrolyte alongside consuming metals that make up their electrodes, so there is a cost to running these
the ratio won't be 1:1:1, too
the ratio is 3:5:2
3 cathodes, 5 membranes and 2 anodes
this comes from the fact that the nickel cation is Ni2+ and the chromium ion is Cr3+
and 5 membranes just 'cause
power generation is probably gonna be readjusted when i get to Layer 3 with the rest of the mod
effectively, cathodes and anodes waste 5% of the electrolyte
although i might consider moving the electrolyte wasting directly to where the electrolyte gets charged

like the fuel engine (central "controller", with a crank shaft that goes in a straight line. theres cylinders on the sides, with injectors that boost all touching cylinders by like 50% ig. cylinders are the things that produce power
cylinders need atleast 1 injector!!!
make atleast 1 material have a unholy complicated crafting tree including atleast 6 different factories

i mean, the closest thing i have to that is mythril, which is an endgame alloy made of several things but not "atleast 6 different factories"

yeah, im gonna take the first core unit, make it smaller and make Irradiance (7x7 core's core unit) spawn them
flash heater, thermocouple and reclamator working. the glow color on these last two will probably be redone

flash heater detonates ammonia and makes heat and hydrogen and nitrogen
and the two other blocks turn heat to power, the larger one (reclamator) being better but costlier

It got popular off being tantros based and being a planet mod
When aquarion was first made planet mods were obviously already done but still a cool thing that didn't have that many to stick out
Defiance isn't released, doesn't have frequent discussions, and will likely pick up traction once its played and given it's first few stars
The only thing publicizing Aquarion is a videos and a random Reddit post

Sure the mindustry and gd servers have a massive popularity difference but
A reddit post talking about a new cool planet mod? Of course people will try it out
And then once it got enough stars people started seeing it on the mod browser and joining the discord
Especially with BioTech
The mod had very little activity and popularity
But then a stupid meme appeared cough that I started cough that kept the server and mod alive until its update where it really started getting traction
In fact now BioTech is one of the most popular planet mods
I hope this mod gets some traction because it's cool with some good ideas

I’ve lost a mod multiple times. You will feel like shit but you will be able to make everything better
to be honest there's nothing we can do now
i can only learn from what i did wrong
first of all, i think the scope was too big to start
second of all, i think all these materials were too... wierd
whats needed is simple and not necessairly realistic stuff
third, the pressurized duct transport system was too painful to use
most of the thinking went towards routing the required gas in
fourth, the complete lack of atmosphere limits a lot of options, for example, you can't have some cool air units and you can't compress the atmosphere as a resource
and finally, trying to limit the pallete for blocks to three colors is just monotonous
i thought it'd make it look like parts of the same set, but it just makes everything a pain to work with
and 90% of blocks look the same
so i guess this is a death sentence to Defiance, but i'll learn from this
welp, time to code pressurized ducts from scratch
What happened to the code did you accidentally delete it, did it get corrupted or what?
i've had a mod idea for a while now about a planet called Cudera, with a very unstable environment (very cold poles, very warm equator, etc) and abyssus is my main focus right now, so you could try that maybe?
i haven't checked out that mod

Unless you overwrite the memory where the file was it should still be there, so you could maybe get it back by using some file restoring utility or something
Fun fact this is the reason hard drives need to be shredded to make sure that all of the information was properly deleted
