I have a plane that I'm trying to make but the landing gear eat up all the thrust on takeoff, this thing has huge amounts of thrust and when it somehow gets in the air it can push 1.4km/s at ASL, but on takeoff it can't even reach 100m/s...

ah.. would it be possible for them to have a clutch of some kind? (a logic toggle) if not could there be a freespinning wheel of similar size?
