Upon starting I’m able to get the screen to start a world. I click the play button and it starts. It gets to Shader Compilation and freezes up. Application stops responding. Haven’t been able to play it at all.

If you have a log file in the Archean folder steamapps/common/Archean/logs/, can you send it?

Archean requires an Nvidia RTX card or an AMD 6000 series and above to support Ray Tracing.
Your current graphics card does not allow you to play Archean unfortunately 😕

That sucks. There should be RTX cards for decent prices. 3050s are really cheap, but I am not sure I would recommend going for the lowest cost model, but that one sells for < 200 euro in some countries.

3050 offers comparable performance to the 2060 though.
Also I think you can find the 4050's now too which is essentially a rebrand of the 3060 which is a strong card to play archean on.

I got a blue screen while playing, and now when I launch my adventure save, nothing appears. Archean.exe is still active in Task Manager, but nothing happens. Here's the log:

When you say a blue screen, are you talking about a Windows BSOD?

yes a BSOD (with a "Page fault in nonpaged area"), i ve run a mem test et one of my memory module was in fault. But, after reboot, and remove the bad module, i a have this error when i launch my "Default-aventure" savegame. But my "Default-Creative" savegame work. I suspect un bad file im my save maybe or a the init of the programm. I have launch a "verifiy files" in steam but still the same problem after reboot.
