#ItemCrafter consuming consuming resources without crafting item?

I'm unsure if the issue is with the item crafter or if the itemJuntion is to blaim ...

Reproduction:

ItemCrafter is connected to a back to back item junctions Container can be double or single connected to the other junction.

Variance:

Depending on the how the container and itemcrafter is connected, different results occur. After save and reload of the game, different experiences can be seen.
If the ItemCrafter input and output are both connected to one side of the "Back to Back" item splitters ... the itemCrafter works better, but still is unreliable.

The rock crusher works expected via these type of junction connections ...

#

and the crafter that is connected to the same junction consumes items, but can not output crafted item ...

what exactly are you even meaning

#

the bug you seem to be referencing is when giving multiple inputs into a junction that then spreads the output does not work exactly as expected. This very well might be a bug but its not extremely obvious and your video seems unrelated. and my entire thing was fluids not items

The only thing I can think of that the items are not actually in the crafter but circulating through the junctions. That is something I had once because one of my junctions was actually looping via a container.

@mint parcel the video is attached .. ..

#

@solemn valve I could see that too but if that's possible ... then if i shut down or break the loop the items should "Apear" in the container ... ( or i would hope )

#

Reviewed the video, seems the magets are made ... only had to click like 10 times on the item before it crafted ??? let me know if I need to resubmit ... as it didn't just eat the items as suspected ...

only use one connection in the last segment of the video because double connecting the container is not really needed because ItemJunction work either way.

  • side with one port to any of four
  • any of the four to the side with one port
#

the Crusher and the Item Crafter are the ones needing a connection approach like that but not the containers.

@solemn valve - was done for testing and does not change the issue of the item craft having issues pulling suffishent / producing the item as expected in one click ...

This is functional and has 16 Item Crafters around:
I had that weird issue with a different wiring as well. Before that rewiring I noticed that the containers had movement even though all crafters were idle.
The crafter return goes on the same junction as the crusher.

#

I use ItemConveyors to have directional item flows in that build as well that filter certain items for the supply containers of the crafters for specific parts

that is in the container at front:
