#Rebalance tables sooner & more often during tournament playdown

As soon as tournament play locks down and calculated space is available (or perhaps earlier, because people can sit on tables that don't fill up, for a long time even before lockdown), begin to periodically rebalance tables that have 3 players or less, or give players option to be rebalanced at that point if they wish.

Table balance is one of the things which really annoy me in tournaments. I had it quite often if 18 players are left that there are multiple tables with only 2 or 3 players until the final 12 players are reached and put on 2 full tables. This should really be improved,

Table rebalancing needs to be more efficient - the number of times I am in a tournament and it ends up in a heads up, whilst several other tables are half full... meaning we are chipping away for ages... you should consolidate the tables more as it's not fair on those that end up in this heads up situation.

THE…. biggest complaint about the tournament play is that the tables are not rebalanced soon enough.

Adding your comment here @wooden hound - don't forget to leave your 👍 on the topic!

You can leave the table and re-join the tournament from the lobby, and while blinds do continue to be taken while you're not on the tables or are disconnected, you can generally get back in pretty fast by going to the lobby and re-joining so blinds aren't a consideration.

All rebalancing of the tables should be handled by the game! I agree it needs to happen more often like anytime a table is 3 players or less! The leave table option should be disabled during tournament play! My opinion of course as every tournament I’ve ever been in leaving the table ment forfeit!

This is the most common complaint that i've heard about tournaments: players wind up heads up or 3 to a table when they should be shifted to complete full 6-player tables.

I was in a tournament just tonight and someone commented that when there are insufficient players at a table they leave and join a bigger one. I do that also. We agreed that if the game can't do it for us, we'll do it ourselves. It can be abused, but doing it because of 2 or 3 players, it usually isn't an unfair action.

It’s best if we keep issues separate 🙂 especially if something seems to have been fixed

Also, we appreciate your voice! Encourage others to come and lend theirs. That’s the best way for people to say it is a common complaint 🙂

also, there are a lot of players that think if they leave they cannot come back in. I am constantly telling people that they can and if they come back they will not be penalized. however the game should for sure reshuffle us on its own.

Yes. But going and coming right back shouldn’t.

Leaving a cash table or tournament table should be done with consideration - if you leave before winnings are doled out, or before your overbet is sent back to you, there's potential you walked away from your tournament chipstack, and where therefore eliminated: https://discord.com/channels/390835666998657026/1178415410022993961

Without a video or something to review, however, it's difficult for us to determine. Keep this in mind as linked above.

The only reason I leave a tournament table is because it doesn’t automatically re-shuffle the tables like it should.

adding your contribution here @near rose! I didn't include the video although it does make things more obvious.

At this time you'll have to re-balance yourself (read above) until it comes to the more final tables which rebalance to bring everyone together at that time.

It would be nice to have the tables that are heads up or 3-way rebalance to bring people together.

In this case even when i left to the lobby and re-joined the tournament I kept getting stuck on a table with just 2 other people, and since the tournament had already locked down I was stuck on that half full table paying blinds out the wazoo with all my crap cards.

Table balancing was laggy again at the social tournament. A few tables were 2/3 players for almost 20 minutes (after lockdown).
