Only the most recent offenders: Augmentation // Augments
I don't think I need explain why this might confuse newer players?
On a broader scale, Omeda should probably reassess how things in the game are named - especially for the sake of clarity via voice comms and when disussing and/or explaining the game as a whole. It must especially be confusing for people of different languages or varying MOBA experiences
Names like Argus and Zarus are hard to distinguish for people unfamiliar with Western languages, and even harder if someone’s using a bad mic or talking over heavy combat noise
Likewise, “Feng” Mao and “Fang”tooth can be situationally confusing during comms (Fangtooth would be the safer one to rename - unless we want to piss off the purple man's fans)
Other close calls:
-"Fey" vs Phase (and sorry Epic, but “The Fey” was a weak name to begin with)
-Rev vs "Sev"
Theres also abilities that largely have this issue. I'm not gonna sift through the entire game, and every name, but I recall kwang being a big offender. Isn't every ability named like Heavens X?
Just rename everything to "Light/Judgement/Surge" and then leave his ult long form. (just as a rough example.)
I’m not necessarily suggesting we overhaul existing names at this point, but at the very least, can we avoid making it worse going forward?
