Love Grux, we get brunch on the thursdays. He coaches my kids little league games. Feel confident playing him offlane and jungle and i can see the impact I have on the game immediately.

That said, I'm trying to expand my heros and roles so I've been playing Iggy in midlane and Mourn as a support and just getting WALKED. I overextend trying to get value or get pushed back into my lane and sit there.

Part of it is build for sure so ill take any advice there, but the other part is game knowledge. First Moba, closest I've gotten to something like this is old overwatch.

Any tips?

I have to play mourn very passive until I get an item or two in lane, especially if I'm going against two ranged in Duo.

But once you get that power spike, you're unkillable and have so much CC and armor shred.

I generally build Dynamo, Galaxy grieves, tainted charm, vanguardian. If the game goes longer than that, it's all flex after those four items

I will choose the pull at level one one because it's better value than bugs or the Mez if you can get a pull and win a trade.

Always be looking at the map and looking if your team is taking engagements because you can use your ult to secure assists and with the ult augment you're giving your team armor and shredding the enemies armor from across the map.

As far as I know with Tainted charm, your bugs are doing dot damage that is reapplying tainted so you can ult and have the whole team tainted.

Very situational of course, but do you find yourself playing under tower in duo lane when you have to play passive? Or are you more in the middle looking for an overextend to pull?

Ive been taking bugs level one but I see what you mean on the pull.

I never thought to use the ult like that, applying tained cross map sounds pretty gross.

Ive seen Hexbound and Raiment thrown around for builds too. Do you think those slot in?

Passive meaning I can't level up my crest by front lining and helping with clear as I'll get poked out. Middle of lane and picking moments to pull people.

Raiment is good! I'm not a hexbound enjoyer just be smart not to spam abilities to preserve mana early.

Also before any team fight ult and you shred their armor/give armor to allies and apply tainted to enemies with one button. Vanguardian increases allies armor when they are nearby.

Also duo really only wants to hard shove the wave to either rotate to fang or back for items. So having the lane closer to your tower means your safer and just be mindful where your jungle is going to farm and look for ganks.

As support I save my wards for when we are pushed up. I also tend to try to save one to ward for fang at 5 minutes.

if i have a carry that is aggro, i build health based, and use agis world breaker and/or ela frost to tank and do decent damage

Apparently mourn in the offlane is goated right now. I'm going to try orb of growth and ElaFrost build

if you build max health with like agis and fire bloosm and i usually do alright

Yeah I was going to go orb/fist of razzul/ela frost/

I believe his passive empowered hit scales off phys and magic damage

its bonus and magic

That was something that confused me cause I think in-game is says magic but I've seen people talk about the damage scaling off of phys and health too

If you want the true solution. Its gonna come from your own discipline. But that doesnt mean you cant train it. Try playing 3-5ish games as iggy as safe as humanly possible (in quick match). This means barely trading, focusing on getting the cs only. And playing for item spikes instead of kills. YOUR MAIN GOAL IS NOT TO DIE. What this will do is show you when you are strong and when you are weak just based off items spikes. This also teaches you how to lane safely and manage mana/spells for clearing the wave. After that, do the exact opposite. Play a few games where you are extremely aggresive trading constantly always trying to push your lead/limits. This will teach you how to snowball even if you die a bunch while getting kills. In conclusion trying the polar opposite playstyles gives you a benchmark on when to do what. I know that you just want to expand your champion pool, but doing this will expedite your learning process when trying to learn those new characters
