Permanent battle passes.

We should seriously have Marvel rivals / halo infinite style battle passes. Meaning if you bought it, you have it forever and can select it and work on it whenever. It’s a good practice and pro consumer. Not to mention more people will buy it if they can come back and work on it whenever they’d like.

I literally hardly play marvel rivals anymore but I’ll buy the battle passes and grind them at my own time, whereas if I couldn’t, I probably wouldn’t bother with the game, same with halo infinite.
Imagine how many more purchases they’d get from battle passes if they did this, I’d purchase every single one. But since they aren’t permanent and I work a lot I can’t afford to buy every battle pass when half the time I don’t have the time to play enough to finish it, meaning I basically wasted money, and that feels BAD.

The other side is probably: that a FOMO Battle pass gives more player engagement for a short period, which is good for the game during this time. And active players are more likely to buy skins as well.

Not disagree tho, i wish we had a permamnent BP system.

Very good idea and suggestion.
I also work long hours every day, at times I only have time for 1 or 2 games, sometimes I don't have time for any game whatsoever.

So I will miss out on battle passes naturally due to work, just like in your case.

I would love this system where you can buy it later on, and choose to work on it for the time being.

And hey, to counter the problem that Malte mentioned, they could add a exclusive banner or Icon to the battle pass while it is active and new. Or they could lower the opal amount on the battle passes that have already passed.

There are things to counter the negative pointers. Still, I would love a permanent BP system as well.

I bought this last one and haven't been playing the game mainly cause I don't like the game state and if I don't end up liking legacy well rip money on the pass I didn't play.

So partially my fault but also I expect a moba and if its going to keep going farther and farther away from a moba it is what it is. Won't buy or play the next one then...

Solid points. I know cod zombies does a thing where if you complete a maps Easter egg before they put out the “easy mode” version you can get a cool skin alongside the one you’d get for beating the Easter egg at that point or any point in the future. So I could see this working well (how you described fixing the problem)

NAh this would be giving back too much to the community. God forbid Omeda actually care about the community instead of just trying to make a major profit. They claim money isnt a issue then turn right around and do things like making FOMO battle passes, or pricing legendary assets (they didnt create) for top dollar. I think the gooner skins and predatory pricing shows Omedas true intentions.

On that note, I was looking at boosting levels on the battle pass cause for whatever reason I thought it ended tomorrow (but that’s beside the point)
Did you know you can only spend a MINIMUM of $50 (worth of platinum) if you want to skip levels at all. Tbf you can just buy all remaining levels of the BP, but that means your either spending the same or similar, much less, or much more which wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for the $50 minimum being the only other option.
