Our system is reputation-based: which means the player’s penalty is calculated on the entirety of their in-game behaviour so far. If they were a good egg and this is their first time being toxic, their penalty would be shorter than someone who said the same thing but has a history of consistent negative behaviour.
Our tool covers 18 languages - being toxic in languages other than English will also result in a penalty.
While we welcome your feedback on many aspects of our game, let it be known that we don’t plan to change our stance about the use of derogatory language, threats and verbal abuse in Predecessor - we will not tolerate such things in our game, nor should our players.

so with that system you ban the players that invest more time in your game harsher than those who dont play the game that much. this will result in month long bans for almost everyone eventually at some point. imo your ban system should take in account how many matches a player has played inbetween using bad words. and after some time it should reset itself. in the end the current system punishes the gameplay more than some bad words that are used. i would rather play with someone who uses bad words every now and then and who is still able to write strategic sentences than with someone who doesnt communicate at all.

the thing is noone in the world doesnt use bad words sometimes so in a year basicly everyone will have bans on their account. imo it should matter more how often and in what context those words are written. like frequently and direct insults for example and if players get manual reports by other players during that incident. like if only the ai got their feelings hurt who cares? if someone actually got insulted and reported that insult fine, let there be a ban if its justified. noone is a saint and doesnt swear or insult someone every now and then, thats all im saying. so if you have a player that plays your game for years its very likely he has month long bans because of the current system. idk if devs play the game regulary but it has really become very quiet in the last weeks.

I beg to differ. Filters are quite easy to exploit tbh. Even in games like roblox, where it has excessive filtering. Manual reports and reviews should 100% be a thing, and on top of that to help out their moderation team, Omeda uses an AI service to monitor your message history and give automatic bans if you are excessively toxic
