I’m a big fan of JRPG’s and one thing I always appreciate is the grading system (S-F) they have on mini games, speed runs, missions etc… I for one, love getting S’s as much as I can and it’s fun/motivating for me to try and earn them.

Maybe you could introduce a Role Grade that grades you off of your contribution in your role to the team’s success?

I think having a nice little grading system is simple feedback that could help players LEARN why they are winning/losing. Individual grades don’t have to be shown to the whole team, but collectively, there could be an overall “Team Grade” as well.

Yes but grades arnt perfect. Omeda city's PS system is fine, but not perfect and it definitely shouldnt be used as a metric to see how well youve done and what you need to improve on.

MOBAs are complicated and stats can be quite abstract. They dont tell the full picture and you could play well with not fantastic stats for example.

By that I mean, that not all stats are equal, but also how much more impactful is one stat over the other? What are the weight values? In some games, stat X was more impactful than Y, but in others it could be the opposite, cos of team comp and/or gameplay styles.

It's a good system in a vacuum, but it shouldnt be used as anything concrete to compare players. I wouldnt want Omeda to spend resources on developing something not impactful

As someone who plays (played, fuck you Riot) a lot of League, I know that their post-match Grading system has issues, especially as a support player. Literally all you need to do as a Support to get S+ is have a high vision score and low deaths. Which I wouldnt say are impactful stats by themselves honestly

I cant say for sure. There's a lot you can do in a match that isnt measurable by stats only. I'd say the best metric would perhaps be gold per minute, but even then it can be misleading (ei an ADC perma farming).

Especially when there are Supports like Riktor and Steel, who have a lot of CC and their primary "supporting" capabilities are CC and we do not have a CC stat. So those support heroes' primary purpose goes unnoticed at the stat screen.

What about if it looks at it more from a positioning standpoint instead of just stats?

Create like a GPS mapping that measures characters positioning and can determine things like…How well were you controlling waves, how often were you overextended, how much time did you spend in jungle vs. ganking, how much time did you spend front lining.

Idk just spitballing but I feel like there is potential for some sort of feedback you know?
