Let's not forget that originally the jungle had more life and detail
Lok how cool that waterfall looked, and how dense is the flora of the jungle, we need that back
Where is it now?
Camps are not jungle. We don't have a JUNGLE. Just camps with minions
We have an overgrown garden
A foggy bush
Meh...
Eventually we'll just get a new actually decent map. And leave behind this garbage "map"
with ps4 being cut off they have no old hardware holding back the potential of the game anymore
so new map should be dazzling
unpopular opinion: people will want the old map back just like they wanted legacy back in paragon
not if itās done well - new map should expand upon the gameplay in positive ways
and the reason why people wanted legacy back is because monolith sort of came out of nowhere (and shifted pacing to a completely new direction), where as predecessor players have been complaining about this map since day 1
I think something that's more important is how they very clearly were going to add actives into the game considering there was "1, 2, 3" above the first three item slots.
What an absolute loss
Can we finally get the last equipped skin active by default in draft
really hope so
What skin do we receive for connecting our discord?
none

Ah I've just been informed this feature has been delayed. Apologies - I've removed the graphic
not the voice chat just the skin from this right?
probably the Link your discord part
Thats what they said in the 1.4 Stream to come later with integrated chat etc
So Voice chat will be in 1.4
Voice Chat is not delayed
Trident is the only anti-heal with 50%? All other items only 45%
Other heal reductions are at 40% not 45%
It is nowhere mentioned in the patch notes that other items are increased to 45%. All heal reductions stay at 40%
It is mentioned. Check the website
Oh sorry. Thanks
Not a fan of some of the changes. Steel/Belica
Do you think there will be a max hp cap bonus on Overlord item?
it doesnt say it has one
I can already see Saphir's mantle hp scaling combined with that resulting in JUUICY hp bonus for my regenerative Rampage
š
Which won't only regen but deal impressive damage scaling with the hp
just go sevarog, tripple hp stacking
Yeah Seva has 10k cap on the max hp bonus from passive now too lol
Not that you can ever realistically reach that
unless it is a 10 hour game
just read 40mins patch notes... its alot, but my first impression is: Well Fucking Done Omeda, im beyond excited to get my hands on this! This patch will shake up the meta like an earthquake while still keeping the paragon/predecessor DNA. Good Job, Good Job, Good Job (no sarcasm :P)
Out of mana*
I have a feeling, that this new update have more changes of bringing in new players
But I also feel like, some āoldā players will leave
I dunno, some people donāt like change, especially a big one like this
I mean I'm not gonna lie, anyone who wanted to keep playing what felt like the same thing for so long probably finds entertainment in paint drying as well
this game drastically needs change
not sure why you'd be upset when pretty much all chars got upgraded
Iām not āupsetā Iām literally just saying what will happen, some old players will leave. But new players, more than the ones that left might enjoy this game after 1.4
But I keep forgetting that Iām in this discord, and the conversations usually goes like this, so apologies
I DONT THINK we are seeing massive changes
but we are getting changes that are more 'skill'-y?
realistically i thought most people are fine exccept for omeda orgiiansl
omeda heros where very copy paste, nothing special.
could we just get an update where wraith is the best hero
Wraith already dominates, so he already arguably is
Rev skillshot changes are enormous if you ask me, makes revs damage fair
I second this, change is inevitable, and more then welcome in games like pred, shake the meta around
Having played paragon since the beginning, then learned all the changes when it came out as predecessor, I have to say that I don't know what to think. It will surely take some time to relearn all the new moves but from what I have seen from YouTube, it looks like the game will be more fast-paced which could be incredibly difficult for new players. I have been playing today, and almost every match there was an AFK player after their tower was destroyed.
So the coming weeks will be hell. A lot of people rage quiting, new players and old players.
I like that the heroes have a kind of unique evolution with their abilities but this should also be supported with a wide variety of cards so players would be able to be more creative with their builds and play styles.
Right now, if you understand the game quite a bit, there's no so much room for builds. If you want to win, you would build damage and by the end of the day, it will become repetitive. Same play style, different heroe.
That's what I liked from paragon, I could take a hero and make multiple builds and there wasn't a day that I wouldn't come with a new build to try which in my case it lead me to a different play style.
The movement has been boosted which seems to be nice since the map the current map is too big and heroes to slow that makes it difficult to cooperate with allies because of the trouble of going back to your lane.
I want combat to be immersive, with outplay potential and nice maneuverability (taking leverage of the 3D space), but with longer TTK pacing. Engaging fights without excessive burst and CC, that is what I think would be ideal for this game.
Current map is terrible and the rotation times are already so short, increasing movement speed on an already small map is something but hey
If they want to be a COD moba they can go for that (though it would be disappointing), changes look exciting but Iāll have to play 1.4 to judge how teamfights and objective fights feel with all these hero changes
The update isn't even out and you blame already the update to cause AFK's or how is that to understand?
Personally i hasn't seen people who go AFK after their first tower is destroyed.
But a lot of players who go AFK after they had to play 5min+ 1vs2 which lead to tower destroyed and causing that player to end underfarmed and underleveled.
I would go so far and say that the difficult level of MOBA's has rarely caused that people go AFK.
Its usally more of a problem between the players.
And even if it ain't the good way, i has to admit that i belong to the players who get easy tilted by toxic behavior.
If our jungle will steal my first wave, he can be sure that i will walk straight into the enemy tower range and close the game then.
If that statement is correct, then has Predecessor simply an balancing problem.
I played already a lot of MOBA's, and if you're forced to build like a DD to win matches, then is it usally the first sign of bad balanced- or bad designed- items.
So you want only weak tanks and tank items?
Yeah that's what it looks like.
I build some assassin items on my Sparrow and it works best for me.
Truth is people are too scared to cook
i played Skylar with out of meta items and it worked out pretty well... like Slime says, it depends how you approach the game. 1.4 is just a freshening up and adjustment of previous predecessor versions after 2 years, we'll see how the majority of people will receive it
If you strictly play to win you wont have fun in ANY game, especially in MOBAs
hell, i had a game where the enemy team stomped us, i had my share of fun and they were even so fun that THEY surrendered
So you are literally part of the problem, inting to lose the game
If the randys act such extremly toxic already at the start of the match, then it usally won't change in that match.
And i definitly won't tryhard anymore in casuals for 30-40min if my own teammates try to sabotage me already since the first wave.
I play MOBA's now almost 20years, and learned to accept it when randys doesn't care for the team.
And yes, at that point i doesn't want to be better. I simply give them a dose of the same toxicity with what they infected me.
True, they're scared to cook, and a lot of people simply dodge when others try to cook.
But somehow are people fine when they use a niche-build that they copied from any pro-player, while they usally don't even understood the purpose of the build š
Yeah man, crazy part is every build is gonna feel good when you play well
Well, I believe we are all here to play and have fun. That aside, do you have fun when there are constant DCs that make you waste time?
I mean the game has its objectives and it feels nice when you win right? I don't think people that play MOBAS play just for fun, they know there is a tactical and strategic teamwork.
Lately, I have seen a lot of people going into the game just to brawl. They forget we are playing a moba and that it needs team work, not people chasing the other all the time and engaging in fights.
The game has been out 2 years you said? I'm unaware of it, and all I can say is it feels going slow. So much hero balancing and new heroes development that makes the game lack in other aspects.
Last thing I can say is that I feel very disappointed with predecessor and that I already lost all my interest with is current state.
This isnāt true at all. The original Paragon had one or two builds for every role, it was all of the same items on most heroes, and counter building was rare
Were you in Paragon when they had this system where each card could be modified as you wished. Each card had a base stats and then you could modify it as you pleased. You want more attack speed? You want more power?
It is true that by the end of the game (nefore closing down) the card system became more plain.
I wish Kallari had her global ult DX
probably already been asked time and time again, but what time does the patch drop?
#š£āannouncements message Keep an eye on announcements, time pinned is in about 6 hours, but this is subject to change as things go š
Anyone feel like Steel's new passive is kinda taking away from his gameplay? Feel like just making him a stat stick takes away a neat aspect of his kit.
I know some people annoyed about the swap between Riktor and Steel.
It takes away so much from Steel, and even though 20% PA/MA is a lot... shreds, pen, and other tank busting items/abilities are crazy atm. That old passive was a way to get around that while still requiring some kind of imput, and made him actually fight like a tank should.
Just feels like some grux main was upset he cant just faceroll his keyboard and win like he does in every other matchup.
God forbid a tank actually be tanky, and not just be a training dummy for all of laning phase.
Feels weird... Saw messages from both point of views the last days.
#š„āpredecessor message
...some examples
Guess its all about on which rank people play?
Yins primary wont root anymore right?
people havent played the patch yet so theres no way to tell š
correct
It takes away a lot from Steel, but didn't Steel already have a lot in his skill kit?
All the AOE stuns, spammable RMB, a lot of resistance, but also an absurd amount of damage being able to solo the enemy ADC or other squishy characters as a support, mobility with the days and the ult, shield to protect his teammates, and on top of that a shield that popped constantly as he had a lot of stuns with low CD
I think that the change is great to make him a healthier character for the game, let's remember that he is supposed to be a guardian support character, someone that play to protect his team
Now he will have a shield to start the engage, instead of having infinite shields piping up all the time that he is in a fight landing stuns
Right
I hope it doesnt change how she plays too much
I havent played her since 1.2 so after all those nerfs she might feel weak
4 hours time is tooooooo long for this lol.... i jst wana play the new update haha
Thing is he actually has to hit stuff, im not exactly sure where you get his damage being insane from, and a tank by nature should be hard to 1v1. He's also alwys been the hard engager with the ability to protect, he's never been a purely defensive tank. His wall is better used to close a gap even. Mourn is way more of that guardian tank. Steel has always been able to support, but lets not get it twisted that he was origionally designed to be the team's main tank. Making him a stat block isn't healthier for the game, even if it isn't the crazyest skill expression, getting reward from actual imput will always be a better way.
So he is a hard engaged, have the ability to protect, is really resistant, and also is hard to 1vs1? While he is supposed to be a support?
You don't see the problem here?
Mourn is the perfect example of how this type of character should be. Mourn has less CC, less mobility, less resistance, less capacity to peel the ADC and less damage than Steel.
