VP bugged?

I'm hoping someone at Omeda can help me with this. In gold, wins grant me 18 VP and losses deduct me 14. Once I am promoted to platinum win only grant 15 and losses deduct 20, however, when I get demoted back to gold my wins continue to only grant me 15 and losses continue to deduct 20 all the way down to gold 2. This happened to me before and I stopped playing ranked for a few weeks and it reset and once again I was back to gaining 18 VP and only losing 14 making it possible for me to climb back to platinum again. My question is why do I gain more VP for wins in gold and once I get promoted to plat it changes and the VP gains become negligible and continue to stay that way after I am demoted back to gold but if I stop playing ranked for a few weeks it goes back to normal? Is this a bug? Can someone at Omeda help me with this? My in game name is Ju5t1fy7

You have an internal mmr thats calculated based on your wins and looses and matchups bla bla bla

And when you win you get VP depending on how close your VP is to your MMR

if its close you get less VP

if MMR is way higher than your VP you get way mroe vp (20 in your case)

if your mmr is lower than your VP you get less vp (15)

And it think it compares the Rank to the mmr, instead of the VP directly, so rank ups might feel like how you described

I'm sorry, but I believe I read somewhere that rsgace stated that ranked MMR has nothing to do with casual game mode so what you are saying would be incorrect and also doesn't explain at all why my VP would continue to be negligible after being demoted from platinum back down into gold and continue to stay that way all the way to gold 2

Karechta didnt mention anything about casual mode

If your VP barely moves up but rather goes down despite a good enough win rate, then your MMR is low

Ok, but you're forgetting that before I get to platinum I receive more VP per win so how do you account for the fact that immediately upon reaching platinum my VP gain decreases? Are you saying that it is because I have reached my MMR rating the very instance I become Plat? And if so then why is it that if I get demoted from plat my VP gain doesn't increase again immediately because I would be then below my MMR rating. I am not certain you completely understand how VP works and that is why I am hoping someone from Omeda reads this so they can help clear this up for me, and perhaps there is something wrong and they can become aware of it

We could truly never know because MMR is hidden. Karechta definitely understands how VP MMR works, infact its the same system as they use over in league of legends. Nothing is bugged, its all explainable. Perhaps you've had some poor matches where you've lost games where the enemy had lower MMR, therefor your MMR dropped by a lot and then your VP is playing catch up.

We dont know but its not bugged. Drop an Omeda.city link tho, if you're sub 50% win rate, you should be losing VP overall
