I know this is going to be a hot take but I would like others opinion on this.

So frankly, I absolutely despise how terrible the basic attack feels in Pred. Every time I take a break and play a different game, I come back and have to relearn how to use a ranged hero (mainly an ADC) every single time.

With how fast some heros are, it makes predicting where they will be fairly difficult especially if that hero has a small hitbox. And if I'm being honest, it should be much easier to land a basic attack than it is to land an ability. But unfortunately, its way easier to land most skill shots than it is to land basics and I think that needs to change.

So I would recommend they either make the basics faster and easier to land, while making some of the skill shot abilities harder to land or make them hit scan or something similar

I don't think hit scans are a good idea. Then you pretty much can't dodge anything anymore.

Something like Paladins have a mix of projectiles and hit scans, with hit scans being heroes with lighter/faster attacks and projectiles being slower but dealing more damage/AoE

Im more partial to just making the speed of them faster

I don’t think it’s the projectile speed. I think a lot of it has to do with almost every other detail surrounding basics.

Release point during animations, audio feedback, visual feedback, the angle the projectiles fly (largely due to camera angle) and more

Paragon had slow basic attacks, with slower projectile speed (I think), and the basic attacks felt great, so the problem is not that. It looks more like a disinclination between when you press the button, when your character does the animation and when (and where) the projectile is released after that process

I don't have a problem with basic attacks, but I guess its just a preference.

I'd also say that the feel is bad

There's no camera shakes really to give impact, so the autos feel like ghost projectiles that suddenly drop your enemy's HP

I made a similar post a while ago. I think it’s a lack of solid audio feedback and maybe some visual too cause I think melee basics feel hollow too.
