Feng mao offlane burst build

Im playing a lot of feng mao recently and this is the typical build I run. I can chunk enemies well and you could probably get envy/infernum into penumbra instead of omen. Finish resolution last ofc

I'm using the same build but.. painweaver Instead of penumbra, the +50 attack one. Great build for him

Never tried combo of mutilator and infernum though which might be ridiculous

Painweaver is very good but penumbras passive can be pretty busted especially when you chain executes with earth shatter. I feel like i could replace omen with painweaver instead

Just not found cooldowns an issue if I'm honest. Hamstring is on like a 3s cooldown at all times

Honestly its more so for the dash, its fun to feel like nightcrawler from the xmen with a big ass glaive

i would replace mindrazor late game to be honest

you need the item early game for power farming but later into the game (max items lvl 18) i would just sell it and get something else

Yeah i could replace it with berserkers axe or tainted trident, most of the time i forget i can sell it. I just like looking at a wave being obilterated by a single auto attack and hamstring combo

it gives you oneshot potential with dash+left click (with passive)

you do like almost 1k dmg with that combo

what i usually do its chalice-mindrazor-muti-perf-omen-envy

and then i sell mindrazor for painweaver of if they have good amount of healing i go tainted trident or dagger

I’ve been wanting to get into playing offlane Feng but was worried he’d underperform. Does this build do better against some vs others? Any struggles against your Auroras or Shinbis?

This would be a standard feng build with high phys pen and ability haste, and would be an optimal build for him. He's best built as an assassin with good burst dmg.

Whether its laning or teamfights, with feng you just want to take your trades carefully and generally want to keep them short, you are quite squishy but you are mobile and once you get mindrazor up you obilterate waves. Since your clear will be fast, use this to get a bit aggressive since the minions can help do a good amount of dmg if they decide to linger nearby.

Make sure to take advantage of fengs passive as the dmg from it can help you initiate short trades. More experienced players may hit you first and negate it but use it whenever you can

Against aurora, you want to dodge her abilities and let her shove wave close to your tower, you can punish her if she uses abilities on your wave but avoid long trades since her passive is quite nasty. Your mobility can generally get you out but be careful if you think she has ult up

For shinbi, avoid getting poked by her wolves and like aurora punish her if you see her use her abilities especially her wolf circle to wave clear. You can trade more evenly with shinbi but still keep it short and sweet as her ult will finish you off.

This build makes you quite the glass cannon and youll do bad in matchups where the other offlaner can force a fight. People like grux, zarus and crunch will give you trouble since they excel in short trades, can chase after you or cc you for days. These matchups you just wanna play safe and let wave shove close to tower and hope jungle comes over

Also if you want you can replace mindrazor with malady. Waveclear slightly worse but malady stacks can help secure kills

Definitely, you will feast if there are low health targets around. Once you get a multi execute on them with your ult you will not look back i promise

Try and save his dash though for escapes or if you are confident you can secure a kill

What are your thoughts on malady? Like using it over mindrazor?

Malady is nice for extra damage and most of the time will take it over mindrazor. Mindrazor is good in lane coz faster waveclear than malady and the extra mana is nice on feng, but malady stacks can really help you scale through the game.

If chalice was still in the mindrazor recipe it would be a bit different but malady reigns supreme in most scenarios. Malady is a must buy for feng jungle though kinda like kallari coz you dont need that mindrazor mana unlike in lane
