Yea, I guess the link was removed cuz I didn't have permission. But it's just an internal forum on the build threads.
Search Serath, or Skarlet in the searchbar- you'll find it. I only have 2 or 3 guides, and Serath builds are scarce anyways. I play most with Serath. And I've checked in with a few other Serath Mains for what they use.

I like master yi full dmg build:

Skysplitter (fast clear)
Kingsbane (lifesteal)
Terminus (lifesteal + shield)
Demolisher (insane dmg buff vs non-squishies)
Ashbringer (spammable abilities)

Stormbreaker feels weird to me and it's nonbo with Demolisher armorpen

Citadel/ stonewall
Tainted whatever (enemy team dependant)
One of the previous armour / health items.

Entirely depends if you want to hit harder or faster. Great bruiser build and melts basically any hero including khais and grux. Only issue I've ever had is against stacked sevarogs

Last item only- i would look at using either Dread, or Tectonic Mallet instead.
Dread's potent against most burst casters, especially morigesh, countess, and Howi(bc of his kill potential)
And Tectonic gives you a power boost when you ult, also with ortus or movebuff or Augmentation(none of which you are using)
Next best magi armor option is Legacy- strictly for the cc cleanse. But I NEVER see anyone use it on Serath. 😕

I would opt for Dread, or Kingsbane or Terminus over Crystalline for a last item. Serath doesn't struggle with movement. Like at all.

Also, most matches require tainted, so if it's not rounds, and you are a hybrid fighter build and you want that HP, then tainted blade I guess. But rounds IS better on HER than blade. Tainted Blade is for ability hero's, like kallari, Crunch, zarus, Feng mao etc.
Serath is all about setting up her basics around her abilities. So..personally I find the lifesteal useful. Especially in bruiser builds where you're fighting for longer and not bursting others down.

What do you opt for in Defense?

It depends on your damage match-up. You should be countering for best efficiency.

If 3 opponents are physical dmg, her best options are Citadel, Draconum(with a kingsbane or terminus helps) Maybe a stonewall if you're getting cc'd hard. But generally Citadel is best.

For magic defense her best options are Dread, Tectonic Mallet or even Absolution(personally I think it doesn't help as much as it seems on paper 60 second cooldown, and the base stats don't fit well if you already have 2-3 attackspeed items)

I wanna play with Legacy, but I usually find a cleanse through my crest if I need it that game so I can actually time it and use it well.

Mhhhh, I never thought about Tectonic Mallet, but I have seen people talk as ULT increase movement speed.

The personal best I’ve encountered are Citadel, Stone Wall and even Overlord early game.

Legacy does sound nice, it has caught my eyes but I haven’t gone the mile.

I do feel like there’s not items enough to capitalize on her ability as a whole, you know more leeway and room.
I wanted Ashbringer and Giant’s ring to work for a cd-reduction build.
But there’s not enough items to capitalize on that front, neither the current abilities are worth investing in.

So if we wait a few for them new items, Serath might shine a little more - Especially after Balance-change💪

Yeah it's basically the bursty lifesteal assassin build or Frontline bruiser build. Giants ring is a waste. Ashbringer works much better on her. In every circumstance.
The best options are the other ones you mentioned. I really only use dread for magical armor. The rest is dicey and she is better off investing power and dmg, or even sustain scaling off her damage.

Alright, I can stand evenly with Khai with def - She has one of the highest base ATK.
1 Def tho, that’s why I see importance in defense.
