I really like this hero and I want to get better with her.
I struggle a lot in lane. I feel like she’s doing almost no damage in the beginning compared to other heroes. I end up losing a lot of tower health and the enemy is also ahead with the farm.
Besides practicing, does anyone have Tipps how to stay alive longer, or are there alternatives to keep up when being down with the farm?
Any help is appreciated, so thank you kindly🫶

Countess finds herself on a very difficult spot right now. My Tipp, try to farm as much as you can under the tower because other mids like Belica or Howitzer will punish you a lot for being to open. If you’re struggling to farm try to shut as many minions as possible and focus on stacking up your passiv, because it gives additional lifesteal, 1.5 per stack up to ten= 15 extra magical lifesteal. This can help you stay strong even when being down on farm which of course is not very good. Buy items that increase magical penetration and attack with your team. Put a ward down before going for a river buff, because Junglers like to wait for you to claim them in early game. Don’t be to aggressive in the beginning and pay close attention to the minimap.
I would also not recommend countess as first pick. She gets deleted very fast in the beginning. She becomes strong if you’re not fallen way behind. She used to be kinda ok-ish but now almost not worth playing, especially when you’re making some progress with your rank.
I hope this was helpful
@lone quest you should reply here ^
i agree with everything they said, not much else to add. she’s definitely the worst midlaner rn & even worse in offlane. just gotta play super safe in lane & with your team until you scale
@brittle knoll is the best countess right now with zero comparisons, he’s got all the tech lol
She’s getting some changes. I think the health boost can help her stay in lane a little longer. It still doesn’t change her play style though.
I too want to get back to playing Countess, but she is not good at the moment. Just as @green pasture pointed out, she gets punished early game and is easy to kill. Her best role at the moment is Jungler and that is also terrible as her clearing speed is just too slow. I think she needs some adjustments to be a better Jungler
Countess jungler clear is actually quite nice. Now she’s more reliable in mid with the health boost. Lifebinder is one of her best items. I recommend to try her out. She’s on a better spot!
@green pasture You do play her a lot so you do know her better than I. From the attempts I have tried, I personally feel that her first 2 clears feels to slow. Mainly that 1st clear. I use to play her offlane as it was easier to ward for ganks and to poke. Will have to give her a try again, but it won't be for a while. Since I am done with the event, going to start playing FFXVI. Need a break from Predecessor at the moment.
Try her in mid when you’re back.
She was better in jungle than in mid before patch. Now she’s good in mid, where she belongs. I wouldn’t recommend solo unless you’re against an other mage or shinbi. Try penetration items and avoid raw magic damage.
Will have to give that a try. My build was usually Azure Core, Megacosim, Wraith Leggings, Oblivion Crown, and either Astral Catalyst if they have 1 tank or Caustica if they had 2 or more tanks. I want to try Oathkeeper + Obelisk crest combo as well. Feel like combo would be deadly on her
I would avoid azure core.
I go with megacosm lifebinder oblivion crown wraith leggings or combustion etc
Is Azure Core still not good? I thought the recent changes brought it back as a good Magic item. I know end game, it give me 141 magical power. I thought Lifebinder was for more health based magical power builds with Tempest Crest + World Breaker combo
Lifebinder got buffed and azure core is not terrible. Penetration is better you know ?
@green pasture Really depends and no ones fully knows the game mechanics outside of the devs. Like: Is there negative armor values? What are the returns on penetration? Obviously on a tanky enemy team you want to go pen, but what if they are squashy? Would you get more out of building pen or raw power? What are there diminishing returns? What are there trade-offs? The devs have come out and said that there are diminishing returns, but no one fully knows what they are or at what thresholds they are.
Is one of the things that frustrates me with this game as we do not know the opportunity cost of 1 item vs another. We have a general understanding, but that is as far as it goes. I know pen is good, but how good is it? When does it start to fall off? Does it fall off?
