#how do i lane against grux as feng mao?

Definitely doable, even if it's really not a favorable matchup. Play around your passive, make good use of your dash and you can effectively do damage and kite just outside the range of most abilities in grux kit. Wouldn't really recommend trying to box grux and definitely have a bit of caution taking 1v1s unless you are ahead.. even then, you need to be aware of enemy map positions, wave state, and understand Grux will almost always outbox you. If you can get your jungler to help you out with an early gank, it can really set you up well as fengs mobility allows him to outrotate grux pretty effectively and you can snowball pretty hard. Keep looking for opportunites to make good rotations, especially if fang or objs are up/about to be up, or if there are opportunities to steal enemy jg camps, denying the enemies farm + building your snowball. When it comes to later in the game, you should already know, focus the squishies. I believe that Fengs strength is in his mobility and it really shines when you're able to reposition to get that one pick that turns the fight. Plus, the ult + reset on execute is really nice once you get the timing of the execute threshold down. For this specific matchup, when/if grux ults, it is almost always in your best interest to gtfo when they ult, and not to re-engage until they're done warlording, which you can tell by the visual cues in grux glowy skin effect. Another thing, a lot of grux players like to build mutilator early, and tainted blade can be a great pickup to deny some of that sustain. Hopefully, something in here can help you!
^^^^ this basically sums it up. One thing though is that you should never dash into the grux unless you know you win the 1v1 guaranteed or you know he doesn't have cooldowns and you can escape. He has more engage than you have disengage so after your dash is down he can run you down.
This is a tough one. Currently assassins like Kallari or Feng Mao don't do well in lane. The entire spiel of these assassins is to build an early lead by snowballing, feast or famine. Running into bruisers on the offlane early often times makes you play an uphill battle, in which you really fight to survive, and can hardly build a snowball lead.
The others in here have already given some valuable advice. Bear in mind Grux wins the basic attack fight, that's the identity of the hero. Especially when he uses his ult, disengage, even when ahead, you lose the basic attack fight.
Focus on items that enable you to dish out damage through ability rotation. Don't focus on items that require you to engage in basic attack battles. Even then, the entire matchup isn't ideal for you.
Dread first.
or second
if you need Malady
his ability to heal from minions is one of the best.
What a perfect answer 👏
Avoid extended trades. Use your passive to tell you when you should be trading. Listen to H0rests advice
