it happens under fullscreen and borderless
for now I'm using this app https://github.com/Ezzpify/CursorLock
but was wondering if there is another way to fix that issue without having to run this in the background

I had a similar problem in the past and used a similar app. The issue seemed to stem from running a higher pollrate mouse on Windows 10. Windows 11 handles higher pollrate devices much better, but if you're stuck on 10 you can try lowering your pollrate.

Hmm, do you have any compatiblity settings enabled for the game's EXE? Like the checkbox for "Disable fullscreen optimizations"?

With raw input and fullscreen you shouldn't really be able to click outside of the game

Nope, not that I set
Sometimes if I flick too hard I can still move my mouse in game but it shows my windows mouse on top of my crosshair
