My Acer Nitro 5 has an i5-13420H and an RTX 5050, but only has one stick of memory. It is 16 GB of SDDR4 3200 CL22 and it is only single channel. Would using the Low Memory addon help with my FPS? I know 16 GB is a lot, but it is still single channel and is getting used like crazy on TF2. I clocked my RAM utilization with just TF2 running at 95% Utilization. I am trying to make my FPS as good as possible on my laptop while I'm on only 1 stick of RAM. I plan on getting another stick for Easter, so my problem may go away then, but until then, I am trying to figure out any possible way to make my FPS feel consistent and I'm wondering if the Low Memory addon will help in my case.

16gb is way more than tf2 will ever use so probably better killing some of your excessive background stuff rather than trying to reduce the portion tf2 uses

If you have an open slot it is probably worth going dual channel
it will basically double the memory bandwidth which tf2 can benefit from
but it's not as critical as if you were using an igpu that uses system memory
unfortunately due to the current craze a 16gb ddr4 sodimm will run you like $50 instead of the $10 it should be

I mean it's good that you're using an rtx 5050 instead of an igpu
it has its own memory so the single channel main memory isn't as bad as if the gpu needed to use it too
