wtf 11th gen intel with 4gb ram???
*wtf
11th gen intel with
4gb ram???*
no it just doesn't make any sense...
at least do like,,, 7th gen intel with 8gb ram
idk if tf2 CAN run
its my mom laptop
kinda sad because i did looking into a better one but my family just ignored me to buy a random one
Maybe you can upgrade it to 8 or 16 gb
i3 1115g4 should run tf2 alright
I guess it's one of those weird laptops with soldered memory and a single sodimm slot
so you could install a 4gb or 8gb or 16gb module for 8gb or 12gb or 20gb total
hmmm
Something like this
But yeah idk why the game wouldn't be opening
Prior to the steam runtime 3 sniper thing you could run it from a shell and it would probably print out info about why it's crashing or failing, not really sure how that works now though
Does it fail to open regardless of if you choose dxvk or legacy opengl?
its basically just freezing
sometimes opening, trying to enter a game
both vulkan and opengl but opengl seems better although runing at 1 digit fps
i didn't try comfig yet
OK maybe just out of memory if it's freezing
You should be able to check
You could try enabling zram for memory compression but really if you're running out of ram on that system it would be best to upgrade it to something more than 4gb
2007 game
Well the game itself doesn't usually need more than 4gb ever, but like if you have a browser or discord or other applications open on a 4gb ram system you're already pretty much using all of your ram
Prior to last year tf2 was a 32 bit application and it couldn't even address more than 4gb, or maybe not even more than 2
Right now my firefox browser is using 14gb ram and don't even have very many tabs open
Like 60 tabs
firefox moment tbh
True
🤨 How is this not very many?
I usually have about 10 windows open with 10-30 tabs each
so 10 ish tabs in 6 windows isnt very many for me
I know some people who keep literally thousands of tabs open
w-why?!
idk if this kind of hardware will have the same price in brazil
*idk if this
kind of hardware will have the
same price in brazil*
Yeah ddr4 should be dirt cheap right now
