#[Linux] Refresh Rate drops after playing for some hours

As the title says, after playing for some hours, the refresh rate randomly drops to something like 10 - 20 Hz, even after quitting the game, changing display rate on gnome settings does nothing, only thing I can do is reboot

Display refresh rate is 144 Hz

The game reports that it is still running at 300+ fps, so it's not a performance issue

I'm currently using Arch Linux, GPU: RTX 4050, CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 8645HS

GPU driver is proprietary

Don't really think it has something to do with the GPU, since this issue happened to my old laptop with Radeon Graphics

does the display refresh rate report 144hz within gnome even after it's lowered? if that's the case, does your monitor report a lower refresh rate as well? (if it has that functionality)
