I don't see the beam from my allies' medi gun when I'm in spectator mode, why?

I do see the weapons in spectator mode but I don't see the Medigun beam from other allied medics

The problem is that I can see the beam of my allies' medigun when I am in spectator BUT when I press the space bar to change it to the first person of my ally I no longer see the beam of his medi gun
