Is it something that, maybe lawena, adds to recordings? Because I see it in most fragmovies and I highly doubt that people add it manually

You are right I have never tought about that. It is pldx_particles.vpk that is installed with lawena. I always thought it was just higher graphics, oh well!

I was gonna say I don't think it's Lawena but you reminded me that Lawena has custom particles built in (I just personally don't use them)
when I get home I'll extract the explosion effect for you if you'd like

you can change the player hit particle independently from the normal particle, this is an option avaliable in mastercomfig however that exact particle is not avaliable

ive spent like 3 hours trying to extract the explosion effect but no luck
idk why this isnt working but ive extracted like 6 different explosion.pcf files and none of them work -_-

because explosions are blocked in casual and im pretty sure that effect is just the detonator explosion effect so they modified their weapon scripts to use that on player impact
