i really like the look of dxlevel81 with the bright effects, dark models, and pyro flames that are easier on the eyes. I also like killstreak sheens and transparent viewmodels, which are not supported in dx81. is there a workaround to this or a way to have some graphical qualities of dx81 be implemented to 90/95? especially the pyro flame particles.

i mean the directx 81 stuff in 90 is definitely possible but nobody's done it, but killstreak sheens are completely impossible in dx81
ig you could do translucent viewmodels by literally changing the opacity of the texture but im not sure how well that would work out
and it would look ugly
where can i find the textures?
also, i'm not able to see the background for upward, which setting does this?

it would be a much better idea to port dx8 effects to dx9, it would be easier and leverage the advantages of dx9, it is a commonly requested mod
