could you please put ragdolls_level;hud_player_model_level in console and screenshot \tf\cfg\ and \tf\custom\?

#

rename the user folder to overrides and you should be good

#

the user folder was for older versions of mastercomfig, current versions utilize overrides for custom mastercomfig stuff

#

was changed to prevent confusion with the user.scr file in cfg

#

yep

#

yeah, you put autoexec.cfg in overrides

#

alongside your class configs

silent imp
#

well when you do this, you're re-execing mastercomfig's autoexec instead of yours

#

you'd have to do exec overrides/autoexec

#

although it should be applied automatically, how do you know that it's not working?

#

put echo autoexec has been loaded in your autoexec.cfg file

#

then restart the game and look for that line in console

#

yeah nothing else needed

#

could you screenshot your overrides folder again?

#

could you hit View at the top and then check "enable file extensions" (or something like that)

#

looks like the autoexec.cfg file is really an autoexec.cfg.txt file

silent imp
#

yeah that would be it

#

yep

#

and now the autoexec.cfg file should view as autoexec.cfg.txt, correct?

#

remove the .txt and you should be good then

#

launch tf2 and see if it all works

#

hi

#

could you screenshot where it's located?

#

could you screenshot what's in \tf\custom\?

#

so what's not working with your autoexec?

#

if you launch tf2, do you see the "autoexec has been loaded" message in console?

#

oh wait

#

mastercomfig is gone

#

the autoexec.cfg won't get run in the overrides folder without mastercomfig

#

it'd have to be put in the cfg folder for it to get run

#

the only files that exist are the .sound.cache files of the mastercomfig .vpk files

#

the actual .vpk files themselves are not in the custom folder anymore

#

assuming you're still wanting to use mastercomfig, then just redownload the .vpk files

#

and place them back in the custom folder

#

no, the files on your computer for mastercomfig are gone

#

yeah i wonder where they went lol

#

probably deleted them on accident

*maybe it was when

i turned the cfg files

into notepad?*
