#Microstuttering
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
*Recently purchased
a new computer and got
rid of my old rig.*
Downloaded TF2 again as i play it regularly in competitive.
Turns out i suffer from massive stutters every 10-20 seconds, on- and offline.
I've switched configs and attempted a whole bunch of fixes but i am at my wits end, so i came here to ask for some help.
I have a video recorded of the stuttering instances, but due to file size i cannot post it here. However, i did take a screenshot.
The screenshot is exactly what it looks like when a stutter occurs in-game.
My specs if they are relevant:
RTX 4060
i7-13700k
DDR5 2x8gb RAM
What's running in the background?
Did you reinstall for this new machine, or just transfer the install.
Fresh install
I’ve transferred my config that i used beforehand through google drive and installed it
depending on how old that config is u should prob just reinstall mastercomfig it only takes a couple mins
@frank quail has leveled up! (2 ➜ 3)
have already done so
try uploading to streamable and link here, also have u tried playing with nothing else but tf2 running
those stutters r def weird
this would happen every once in a while
sometimes more than other times
could you try rolling through some of these? https://docs.comfig.app/latest/os/windows/
eliminating as many background applications as possible would be good
hasn’t really done much
i altered my network settings a little bit and it seemed to alleviate somewhat
but still stutters
i wouldn't expect that to make a difference
what programs are normally open in the background?
it seems i figured out how to fix it
cleaned out my entire game about 4-5 times and it seems to be gone
maybe something was left over that you didn't previously clean up
either way, hooray!
thank you guys regardless for your help
