#Autoexec being dumb

also i would recommend not making a new thread and just continuing on your old one @rich linden
just harder for people to help you if you make two threads
since you said you removed your autoexec but your config stopped working, what do you mean by "your config"? is that mastercomfig? or is that a cfg file that you have
could you please screenshot \tf\cfg\ and \tf\custom\?
Which one does the config save to?
I just had it in the Team Fortress 2 folder and it worked temporarily
@solar harness
could you screenshot the Team Fortress 2 folder then?
yea the mastercomfig files should be in \tf\custom\
Ok
So I redownloaded the config and now im getting awful frames
I usually get 45 to 60 and now im getting 20 to 35
I cant tell what changed
depends on the circumstances
you could've downloaded a preset with higher settings than what you were using before
Possibly yeah
Did masterconfig change how the modules work?
Because I’ve just been using a modules cfg file for the last year and a half
I just went to change it and now it’s not working
That’s why I’m here lol
well it would need to be put in the proper folder for it to execute
it seems as though your modules.cfg file (or any supported file) isn't in the proper folder
create an overrides folder in \tf\cfg\ and put your modules.cfg file there
other files you can put there include your class config files, autoexec.cfg, and a few others https://docs.mastercomfig.com/latest/customization/custom_configs/
Ok great
Yeah I downloaded the nine preset and just set everything to what it was and now I’m averaging 40 fps
I reverified my files and it didn’t fix it
I have no idea whats different
There’s something wrong with my game then
I downloaded the low preset and applied the modules and I’m getting worse fps at worse graphics
Sorry I seem like I’m ranting and complaining, I’m just so confused lmao
You should only have 1 preset in your custom folder at a time.
