#Teammates Healthbars not showing up once installing Master Comfig

To get them to appear again, make an overrides folder in tf/cfg and create a modules.cfg file inside of overrides
and paste hud_panels=high in the cfg
or use hud_panels=low
@dire wasp if you dont mind helping again, my uber is different in the preview of the config, than in game. Ill put screenshots of how looks in preview vs ing
In Preview
Where is this preview from?
Where on the website?
Yeah, it's one of the 3 mat_ commands that does it. Can't remember which

Yeah. Set them to 1 or 0 to work out which has that effect
thx appreciate the help
@silver dune was none of those sadly
this is what im trying to go for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiVfZvMCqZY if you have any easy idea to acheive this
Should be mat_specular 0
Can you rephrase this. I don't understand
Im also trying to achieve the smudged graphics
is the mat_specular also going to cause that
mat_specular 0 will give the uber look in that preview image
The flat texture look is a mod called flat textures
can you clarify where im supposed to put this if i want it everytime i play the game
tf/cfg/overrides/autoexec.cfg
yea not sure why, dosent look the same
more shiny
thx for telling me aboujt the flat texures mod
@serene kelp sorry for @ing i have a problem making ther custom crosshair working for specific classes, the all crosshair works perfect but if i want a specific one on a certain class it just uses the all one
how are you creating the class-specific crosshairs?
what specific settings have you set?
on scout
dosent work just keeps the default
also set different ones on medic and demo
try resetting the customizations via the button
then setting the class-specific crosshairs
thanks will try, also the command Smidge gave me to achieve this uber look
mat_specular 0
dosent work do you have any idea about it
that looks like dx8
can you explain
so, tf2 utilizes the directx rendering api
it offers the following directx versions you can change: dx8.0, dx8.1, dx9, and dx9.5 (and technically dx10 but that just changes a few unnoticeable things)
by default, tf2 runs at dx9 or dx9.5
however, you can tune tf2 to run at a lower directx level, which decreases the overall quality and changes a bunch of other things
from what i can tell, that image looks like it's being ran on dx8 and to replicate that look you'd probably have to use dx8
whats the command to put in the launch options?
-dxlevel 80
after you set it and launch your game, make sure to remove it afterwards since it changes a bunch of settings and resets your resolution and could potentially cause issues if it's kept
you'll have to change your resolution back after setting it
keep in mind that -dxlevel 80 will do more things than just make the ubers look flat, i.e it disables weapon skins etc
Yea, thx for the help i appreciate it
ill ask for things if i need help again, yall have been very nice
Yea not sure why, the crosshair is still just the general crosshair
if i goto default it uses the default crosshair if i use none then it goes to the all crosshair
could you send the downloaded mastercomfig.zip over?
.
@serene kelp did you happen to find anything
oh, haven't looked sorry
i'll look 1 sec
hmm yeah for some reason they are all set to the same
that's either down to the site or you're somehow setting it wrong
@serene kelp The clue is in this image
ah that would make sense
ah
is there any way i can change it without having to delete my shit reinstall it and put it back
Nope
what abt fov_desired it keeps resseting it to 75 everytime i reset my game
It shouldn't be too hard though. You shouldn't have to delete anything

Which preset are you using?
Very low
yea i use low
@surreal current has leveled up! (4 ➜ 5)
sry
Screenshot tf/custom/
Are you sure about that?
yea
Look in your custom folder
It removes some, not all hud elements
whats the easiet way to reconfigure the config, ive been deleting the entire tf folder, verifying integrity then installing a new config in
Just delete the preset, then follow the installation instructions on the download page.
Oh and do very_low_reset in console to revert some of the changes that the very-low preset made
kinda confused, all i have to do is delete the very low preset in the custom folder, then install the next config like normal?
.
Yes, but make sure you're actually following the instructions
changing the crosshairs in the new config wont fuck the game up right
No
i appreciate both of yalls help
