#Fix for mat_filterlightmaps turning itself on everytime?

I'm not using martercomfig, I'm making a custom FPS config and I was wondering if there's a fix for this. Everytime I change level, mat_filterlightmaps turns itself on. Please help me, I joined the server just to ask this question.

mat_filterlightmaps sets itself to 1 every time you join a game/swap map etc automatically

to bypass it you'd want to set a bind or set stuff like your movement keys to set it back to 0

also, protip: no need to make your own fps config when you can just use mastercomfig :)

also also, i don't think mat_filterlightmaps 0 gives an fps boost, it's likely purely cosmetic

if you like the look of it then that's one thing but that's not gonna give you any extra fps

youd have to make a map so open and with such amount of lightmaps that your computer burns,

i'm moreso just unsure if there's a performance detriment due to running commands like that everytime you press a movement key

like thats the kind of thing i've come to expect from source but i'm not actually sure it actually is an issue
