Customizing modules part for mastercomfig won't save

I'm trying to get the Medium preset with but high model and lighting configs instead, though it won't save when I load into TF2.

the settings menu is unreliable, as it assumes very specific console commands are set for its quality options, mastercomfig doesn't always set the same commands.
can you send a screenshot of your modules.cfg file?

i believe it would be in tf/cfg/app/modules.cfg

i'm trying, though it only goes as far as tf/cfg - no "app" file in it atm

oh, my bad, its actually in tf/cfg/overrides/modules.cfg

other stuff goes in that app folder

yeah you didn't install the customizations, i'd still do what smidge said just in case you didn't even install comfig to begin with

oh my fault, would i just put the override folder right into cfg?

just take the entire tf folder from the zip you downloaded and merge it with the tf folder of the game
