.30 should work best in most scenarios as spy since .30 is considered best for hitscan classes and spies backstab is technically hitscan along with his revolvers.
Okay ty
If you want to change the lerp setting for some other class (like for playing demoknight, which is hitscan on demoman) you can do it by putting net_projectiles or net_hitscan in the file Team Fortress 2/tf/cfg/overrides/[classname].cfg
Hey. From time to time my lerp had jumped to 30.3 but then after some time it dropped back to normal (15.2 for all classes). Once when the jump to 30.3 happened, I tried to use some settings from some thread. It didnt work. So overtime i became pissed because for some reason lerp on projectile classes (soldier, demoman, pyro) is still on 15.2, but not hitscan classes. I finally found a good tutorial on this. In order to perform this fix right, I would have to mess a little with the autoexec. But, with mastercomfig, there is a different autoexec location. Tried to find it, but i ve seen no overrides.cfg nor modules. I even reinstalled mastercomfig, still didnt work. Its really a nightmare for me to play with 30.3 lerp. Anyone can lend a helping hand?
this behaviour is not a bug, it is the default behaviour for mastercomfig
hitscan uses 30.3, projectile uses 15.2
you can change per class by doing what I explained in my first message, or change it globally by putting those commands into "game_overrides.cfg" instead.
for different lerp values, check out this page:
!quickfixes
also, "overrides" is not a file, its a folder. take a look at the path I described in my first message.
if you have any issues, don't hesitate to ask
Thanks! I will try
Oh so by default hitscan is always 30.3? I guess I didnt notice.. But yeah the override with the classnames is nowhere to be found 😕 I guess i would try to reinstall the game, but if you are saying that my lerp is as it should be, then I guess I will just leave it as it is xd
no no, you create the folder and the files
just make sure they are actually called "spy.cfg" and not "spy.cfg.txt"
oh i see.. cuz when i start the game there is: 'overrides/pre_comfig.cfg' not present; not executing.
yes, that is ok. It's another file that is unrelated to your issues.
that is not an error warning, just an information message
here is a rule of thumb: if you feel like your gameplay is off but can't pinpoint what it is (with net_graph disabled so you don't know what is your interp 😆 ) then you can go back to what you are used to. If you don't notice anything, these values will theoretically be optimal in a well behaved connection
