For whatever reason the game shows the auto disconnect message then it goes away a few seconds after. This is TF2 only, and other devices dont lag when TF2 does.

Ignore the server browser. Servers can mask their ping to appear low. Skial does this.

Try casual if you can, or ask the people on the community servers if they got the freeze as well.
