#Is it possible to run tf2 on vulcan for better fps boost

depends on your hardware, but most people can get a decent bump in performance usually. the only problem is that you won’t be able to play on vac servers if you use it
What do you mean i wont be able to play on vac servers. I will crash?
Or just it wont let me connect
not sure since i’ve never used it, but iirc it does require -insecure in your launch options to even work, which would stop you from connecting to them
Well i saw someone saying that they played without -insecure
So lets say im gonna download it and it wont work
Do i just remove the vulkan .dll
From tf2 folder
i think it's a d3d9.dll but yeah
i still wouldn't recommend playing on valve servers with it though since there is a chance you could trigger vac when you're replacing a pretty big dll
especially since valve doesn't even allow tf2 to played on linux with it
Yeah, it doesn't need -insecure but it's good to have as a preventative measure
I've never heard of anyone getting vacced for it, but i would be careful
I saw no improvement on 8 core cpu, and running dxvk is taxing on gpu. I wouldn't recommend using it on iGPU. Or old GPU without vulkan 1.3 support.
Yeah, it's very dependant on specs
