#FPS drop after playing for a while?

Would that effect only tf2?
Not sure, not using standby list cleaner
@runic sapphire has leveled up! (6 ➜ 7)
I have 16gb ram
I looked into standby list and it doesn't seem to be that
What makes you think memory leak specifically? This is just frames dropping by what I'm reading
Do you observe unnaturally high and perhaps climbing memory usage by hl2.exe?
You mean like this
example
this is like leak looks like
Doesn't look like that, wasn't sure what else to call it
The performance will drop after a few games sometimes
Maybe something with the particle table?
particle table is server only
and they disappear after time
No clue then, it happens regardless of map or playercount
It's just like the game decides to shave 20fps off
And it's always 20fps
The only fix for it so far is closing and opening tf2 again
Maybe it's a problem with my lan server?
Idk, see msi afterburner numbers on cpu
Is the usage higher, or temperature, something in your system works slower in game after time
And it would be more noticeable if you had cap
To see if cpu usage on 1 core goes higher or is clock goes lower.
i checked ram usage, gpu usage, and cpu usage + temps for all of the above, its not those
apparently reconnecting fixes it too
FPS drop after playing for a while?
maybe dxvk?
happens regardless of dxvk
now i just reconnect with retry command and that fixes it
now retry command doesnt help
fun times
tried all presets and same problem
and its not dxvk
it looks like disabling texture stream makes these drops more frequent
and apply_overrides will always create this drop until reconnect
You could try clean up the game if it's a major problem, then reinstall masterconfig to see if the problem is gone.
Other than that, it could be the hardware and not TF2.
it has something to do with dxvk, looks like
its a trade off, because dxvk is giving me 30+ extra fps
so its either be under my target fps or get these drops
oh well
maybe your tf2 uses core 0, and after some time it just gets used more?
would be useful to see how much ram is used in the beginning and the end
by tf2
