#2026 February Opening of the Month Community Vote!
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Opening of the Month is our community vote survey to pick a winner among varied openings choices. The top choice after the deadline each month will be featured in our weekly Rapid Opening Roulette events and our monthly Official Thematic Daily Chess tournaments for the subsequent month.
The Rapid Opening Roulette is a weekly Chess.com Community club arena happening every Monday, featuring a different opening position every month. The time control is 10+0 rapid, games are unrated. To participate you must have played at least five games on Chess.com.
The Official Thematic Daily Chess tournaments are one of our monthly competitions in the daily/correspondence format, spread across multiple rating ranges per each tournament category. Thematic tournaments are set to start midway through the 2nd half of each month, featuring the top voted opening across Chess.com + Discord community votes.
Submissions close soon so be sure to cast your vote by then, and happy chessing!

Hello

I am stupid
Me too
Im 1600 rating
These polls are just 'opening opening opening buzzword opening that everyone knows' and then the one everyone already knows always wins
on lichess
I am like 1500
OK
Im 1600 lichess
Lichess
If I'm not winning some money why are you pinging me
why not make a poll with openings that force actually learning something new
Because cc is geared towards patzers
Low elos
which would benefit the most from having a poll with openings they dont immediately recognize lmao
as if this month and last month there was any doubt to which would win lol
No it just means they have to dumb everything down all the time
No one will know the Czech Benoni or sm
they dont have to they just choose to lol
typically people will rise or fall to the expected levels to a point
They'll just start choosing randomly it's not like you'll learn 4 different openings to do a poll
no but it may be geared a bit more towards the lesser used ones than just randomly guessing
These openings aren't even related in any way
its not that they dont know things but when qgd is an option obviosuly it will be picked
No question or anything
you can find out how we structured poll choices in this thread 🙂
You're always welcome to suggest new ways of structuring polls!
that was never part of the discussion so at this point you're fighting yourself dude
later
this was not an argument xD you're just now bringing things up that had nothing to do with anything that was being talked about so
and pretending you have sort of point lmao
low iq things
actually out now keep typing
I can bring up what I want I don't like the structure
