En Passant is common; many players blunder and allow this move. I play en passant every day. While it is fun, and it is forced, there is not ONE thing more satisfying than playing a brilliant queen sac into mate.

What people don't realize, is that as a lot of people get higher in rating, a brilliant move has less meaning. Unless it's a deep or complicated sacrifice, sacrifices don't actually mean anything. Whereas a double check is significantly more rare and forcing, often being more interesting

I prefer when I play a series of completely unnecessary sacrifices that technically make the game worse for me but it makes it weirdly more comfortable and i find a mate anyway.
