#You must change a chess rule and justify it to the world. Vote and comment your arguments for it!

Imagine you're in charge of chess and for some otherworldly reason best kept secret, it is demanded that you immediately implement a polemic, game changing rule.
What arguments would you use to justify the change before the whole chess world?

Real
How would the 4th one work?
en passant because silly
en pessant is already rule
Would you have to be mated twice
2nd one is the only one that won't break the game
En Passant should be forced cuz like what's the point if you only use it sometimes, it should be a rule like the king moving one square and just be forced. It will increase the usage too
thats too op
Ya but I'm just asking how it would work
isn't king promotion bad cus you can get both kings checked same move= mate
the other way, making you have to only be mated once, is bad for the person who promoted lmao
Oh lol
TRUE!
Lemme guess
your gonna say everyone is trash
I'd say being able to promote to enemy pieces better
but okay second or fourth
Because the third is already a rule I dunno why it's here smh
Nice puzzles
and to get outta trouble
freakin no life how did u reply first
En Passant is En Passant
true...
En Passant just makes me feel like royalty whenever I say this to my family XDDD
What's the point of en passant when it's not forcsd
Being able to Castle through pieces because saving the game is worth more than them
En passant is funny but the best answer is probably being able to castle through pieces. I can imagine a scenario in which that's the best move for the position
yea, castling through pieces would create some nice puzzles, and could be pretty useful in an actual game to save you from a mate
en passant is funny but it actually has an interesting effect on opening theory
for instance alekhine's defense is actually decent now: e4 Nf6 e5 d5 exd6 is forced
if pawns couldve promote to kings the games would be insane
what exactly do they mean by tilting?
