Pawn endgames are so much more fun I dont know why people dont like it that much

In pawn endgames you very often need to calculate very long lines, and sometimes you can lose pawn endgames with equal material simply because of your king position or pawn structure
But, on the other hand, there aren't so many legal moves, so you can calculate almost every possibility
In rook endgames this is not the case, and you still can lose because of the way your pieces are positioned
So, I'm gonna go with pawn endgames

Yes, it's good to know about opposition, key squares, corresponding squares, fortresses etc., but in a pawn endgame, you can simply calculate all the moves.

In a rook endgame, that's much much harder. The number of moves explodes quickly. You really need to know the technique. It's always easy when you read it in a book, but to actually play it is a completely different story.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Some won pawn endgames can be fully ruined just by inaccurate move that will allow pawn storm, and you even will not notice how your position will fully ruin due to lack of spaces in 5-10 moves.
