WWW
I prefer both
bozo failed
Rocks all day
queen frfr
Pee
2 rooks
if you choose queen you are sub2k
Queeb
my friend could have beaten someone with 2 rooks if he didn't bludner them
Queen is more slay, thus I prefer her
Just sacrifice THE ROOOOOOK
queens are just cooler
Also 2 rooks are technically stronger than a queen
queen
fax no printer
they look cool
A Queen controlls Mord squares
cause im not a simp
*more
Queen
So magnus carlsen is sub 2k?
Queen bros
2 rooks obv
ooh a nyan cat pfp
two rooks because i am not a simp
2 rooks pls I love ladder mates. all my mates be hanging out on and around some cool ladders
sry mb
Queen is just, intimidates your opponent
Queen because it can checkmate alone and also fork. Also the queen is just the queen
Qyeen
2 rooks, for protection
if you pick queen you're sub2k
rook if its my turn to move queen if not
ME QUEEN OPPONENT NO QUEEN ME WINNING. OOGA BOOGA <- that's me every game
Ladder Mate
2 queens because you can consume more pawnd and if you mess up with the first, you still have another rook to eat more with
Queen
queen is miles better
Look in #🏆〡best-games for my rook sacrifice
BOTH
I prefer to have 2 rooks because 5+5 is more than 9, the 2 rooks can give a faster checkmate, can guard multiple positions and if one is lost, you can still give a checkmate with the other one.
Queen
If rooks to move then 2
2 sticks are better then a stone
I'm a f**king noob, gimme the queen.
Qyeen
the bishop
Queen because
id say 2 rooks and 2 queens

Im about to write the biggest massage of my life
2 ruks idiots
2 rooks will almost always be superior to 1 queen, depending on the position obv
get some roles pp
If theres pawns left id rather have queen if just queen and rooks then rooks
You could fork the rooks with a queen
fork
I prefer 71 queens and 3 kings personally
2 rooks mainly because 10>9
more serious context would be the fact that 2 rooks is just better to limit the enemy's king's movement
shutup
2 rooks are bit better
I sure do love 2 big black stick in me
no
I'd take 2 rocks so I can throw onw at the enemy king and if he catches it I'll just throw the other one
no
If there are more than two pawns, I'll choose a queen. If there's nothing left or only one pawn left, I'll choose two rooks
Reason I would pick 2 rooks is because you can pin pieces to the king ladder mate use 1 rook with a checkmate and if u pin queen and win it with one rook you can still win with one rook so tats why I pick 2 Rooks
😭
Me queen opponent no queen me winning ez
2 rooks because you can do several types of checkmates
2 rooks alone will be much more intimidating than one lone queen
agreed
true your right but theres something special about king and pawn against an entire 8 pawns and 2 rooks with a queen
Yall aint crative at all
kekw
queen has lots of oppertunities for forking with check
Im gonna tryhard 1 sec
lol
2 rocks cause less chance of stalemate, also rocks are worth 10 Queen is worth 9. But IRL tho I would chose a Queen cause she is all I want ❤️
Who doesnt like 2 sticks inside them
queen is more fun. thats it.
2 rooks can protect each others.
ur name is jimmer, ur parents aren't creative either
As Levy said, it depends on the position. As a pisslow player, Queen because girlboss asserts dominance by stalemating myself after being up 10 points 😎
neither bcs i am gona blunder both rooks/queen anyway in endgame
In an Endgame, Two rooks are better since there are less pieces on the board and the two rooks and move freely around the board supporting more than one pawn and at the same time stopping the opponent's pawns from promoting.
yall saying 2 rooks and yet losing in the poll smh
Two rooks because they can work together
2
Queen more mobile easier to fork and maneuver
let's say you have two 22lr pistols, and one 32 acp, which one do you choose to kill another person tasked with the same option, what do you choose?
both
2 rooks are 10 points and a queen is 9 points, who are we to argue against the top, plus 2 facing rooks are a menace, since its an endgame, there arent many pieces, so its not hard for them to face eachother any time they want, and its much safer to get close to the king
Queen, the chance that you blunder it is way lower 💀. Only have to focus on 1 piece (and of course dont blunder the king 🫠)
server's full of 500 elos what can you do 😔
2
Do you want to brag about saccing your queen and winning the endgame, or be the one being laughed at for getting a full queen but losing the endgame? I think answer is clear
if you were in a medieval and you managed to trap your opponent in your own castle I think the mental stress would kill them
The ROOOOOOOOK!!!!!!!!!
queen can pin and more crative spots. easier to move and 1 piece better than 2 pieces
Cannot beat the girlboss stalemate
Queens can corner the opposing king
i prefer neither, since they are gone in the UK and USA
the queen it checks you until you die or lose on time or lose both rooks because of fork
Bro nahhh bro got a kirby pfp and judging ppl discord tag
so can rooks
kekw
a queen, we know how to mate with a king a queen, rooks add alot of variablities, but ig both are good.
2 rooks cuz at least I can't botez gambit
imagine you have two incredibly powerful soldiers and the enemy king is stuck on a tiny ladder screaming
2 Rooks, Coordinate better and more winning chances
I thought rook was 4.5 💀
I think the two rooks are harder to coordinate
also easier to maneuver cuz diagonals
true
yeah neither are bad
no piece has decimals
we have to be vocal about it, looks like rigged elections
The ROOOOOOOK!!!!!!!!!!
100% percent two rooks, two rooks control more squares and can work together more effectively than a queen
get better
can't like the Kirby series anymore fr
@uncut kelp STOP THE COUNT
well, ig if you blunder one you can always mate again.
anitta
what
true, but it's easier to mate with two rooks than a queen
can u help me on smth?
Rooks are cooler because no one needs diagonals. Chad Rooks just go brrrrr down the only open file, winning you that sweet sweet, blunder filled, sweat inducingly stressful... opening because you're like 200 ELO. Also what's great for the rooks is you can't blunder your queen if you never had one. 2 points for Gryffindor.
2 rooks, because we can sack one of them and still mate with the other
some people consider bishop 3.5
2 rooks because more pieces is always better

100% percent two rooks, two rooks control more squares and can work together more effectively than a queen
if 2 players go againgst eachother, one having rooks and one having a queen, theres a big chance the queen one will win
Yall hear me out. You have a choice between literally 2 castles or a women thats op
Queen, you can force a trade if the opponent has a queen
Queen can go anywhere and has no idea where to go or what to do, just like me. We have so much in common
lmao
ok tal
Boring piece fr
but it's two rooks
two rooks, so i can become gotham chess
I changed my anwser!

its not official so i dont rlly see it that way, also knight and bishop are equal to me
2 rooks doesn't always lose
Two rooks can stay in constant defense, ladder mate, and push promoting pawns at the same time
rooks so that I can HE SACRIFISES THE ROOK and mate with the other
THE ROOOOOOOOOOOOK
Neither, since the USA doesn't have the towers and britain doesn't have the queen
yeah sure but i think its easier to take the rookws with the queen than taking the queen with rooks
no but fr queen op
ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK
The reason I choose two rooks is because they can protect each others if the queen's going to take the other rook.
where's my diamond now
Queen because I have a custom chess set where the queen is replaced by Beyonce 😎
A queen is only 1 piece, which limits the reach and potential of moves. The queen can move down 2 files, but is vulnerable to knights and protected rooks and bishops. A Queen cannot be taken by a king though, as it as a 3x3 area around it stopping any 1-piece movement in the area. 2 Rooks have far more reach and also can checkmate via ladder checkmate much quicker then a queen and king/pawn. 2 Rooks also can threaten much more because it a, is 2 pieces and b, can control 2 entire files and/or column. This is also why 2 rooks are worth 10 points together and a Queen is worth 9.
does that make the queen more easier to use instead of a single rook
Bro actually why queen or rooks. The bishops are the OG
hhm
true
Queen is taller, I give you that... 🥺
Nice I know I can't win this 😅
two rooks
actually.. I prefer 9 pawns, a queen cant beat 9 pawns so i win
or a queen
yeah but 2 pieces harder to coordinate than 1
it's not about taking the other piece its about the mate
idk, double lanes are cool but diagonals are cooler
i prefer 2 kings
2 rooks can have more range and is easier for me
i will blunder all of them fr
queen all day baby, fork them pieces with the LADY
personally queen
ok no nooses pls
2 rooks, you can force a trade with 1
funny but no nooses
you can ladder
Yes but it's like a double-edged blade, it also gives a couple extra lines for your enemy to calculate
KEKW
I aint reading allat
dude forgot to delete the chat gpt answer
no you cant
chatgpt sounding ass
lmao
a mom can control 2 kids easier
troll msg

But Anitta it's depend on endgame and pawn structure so how can I say queen or two rook

Are you sure about that?
are all pawns men or women
that's the whole reason to troll
Rocks will win!
The reason i pick the queen is obviously becauses its the queen and
i feel that the Queen is much better in a scenario if the rooks arent already inter-connected if u know what i mean as the queen can just force a easy taking of rook if they arent connected but if rook are connected it might be closer but i would still pick the queen overall
a Queen can more easily fork king and rook so I prefer a Queen
king is happier with a gf than two kids, therefore queen better
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhqslboBUug&ab_channel=SaintLouisChessClub This is a 50 minute video about rook tactics, and more people will be able to convert with two pieces vs only 1, some people don't know how to convert with a queen. More pieces ussally means a better conversion rate. but if its two rooks vs a knight and a bishop its a draw (most of the time) but a queen vs a knight and a bishop is a win.

chat gpt wont win you diamond you gotta be creative
depends on their age i guess 😂
2 rook coz i always blunder the queen also i like the ROOOOOOOK!!!!!!
yes you check them till backrank if it's 1 queen vs 2 rooks
2 rooks means twice the peaces for me to blunder. Also, can't Botez gambit with 2 rooks
def
and clearly human
then they have to trade
tru
was i creative?
if I think it might have been a bot yall aint winning
rooks are better because they're more fun
eh
I Think It Would Be The Rooks Because It Can Make A Thread And If U Can Push Him To The Corner It Would Be A Easy Win.
Hear me out again guys. Marie Antoinette ain't saving Napoleon

How creative do we have to be I've rattled off like 5 answers already 😂😂
rooks are cool, i like rooks, they're fun but a queen is more practical sometimes
Rooks, they are moving walls and have much more options in terms of checkmate, also it'll be harder to stalemate with a king and two rooks (Unless you're stupid liek me hehe)
Ngl 2 kids can be handled by a mother if they work together, and in the event someone invades the house they will viciously murder the attacker using their fangs and claws.
I did vote for Queen but can I say where I will like two rook and Queen? Or I need to tell only about Queen?
idk man I'll re-read the thread as always after the event ends
we have lots to argue on, chat isnt gonna die @hasty mauve
lmao that is first thing i taught about when saw tat long msg, wanted to ask what AI model he used
besides it's basically tryharding to have the queen just fork all the pieces
A Queen makes it easier to use tactics. Forks and such.
fine ill be funny
mostly it deppends upon the pawn structure/value and associated king safety in the position
but if its pure queen vs 2 rooks, id like to take 2 rooks over the queen
in that scenario, itd be about endgame skills, and the person with the queen is most likely to blunder king safety cause of less pieces, sure it might be little difficult to coordinate 2 rooks, but once u get the hang of it, you will hv impenetrable fortress, same defo cant be said for the queen. and the person with 2 rooks can decide the draw, cause of more pieces and more options to shuffle around and play it along, the better the players r, the better theyll be with 2 rooks over the queen
in 2 rooks vs queen endgamr, the person with queen is never playing for a win, whereas the person with 2 rooks can try to play for the win, only thing needed to handle the 2 rook system is a littl ebit experience and endgame knowledge
you can say whatever about the debate
@hasty mauve

queens are easier but rook checkmates are better
naughty Twin>mom
imlegitmoon whats up
Aight I'll wait and see,if I don't win I'll send a pic of myself holding hands with a human sized queen chesse piece for next time

it's unlimited to post thinking right?

the things I am trying to say
the rock
Okay I may do that tomorrow :)
alright, hear me out
a pawn can promote into a queen, which goes from male to female
trans rights: the chess move
eh
yeah sure
kitty
2 rooks bc its way easier to checkmate

I'd say queen since I enjoy pinning or sckwerring, however you say it lol
Did you just assume the gender of pawn
if my opponent still has a queen in the endgame, ill pick 2 rooks, because i have a pretty high chance of skewering the queen and still being able to mate with one rook if i manage to take the other pieces and if the pawn structure is in my favour
if a man tries to take to get 2 man childs you win because they are still drunk after saturday so you always win!
in spanish its "peón" which is male, thats my base
Pawn is obviously unisex, anybody can be cannon fodder
is that nepo
A knight for forking a queen and king are always cool
Cute! You can also send it here #1104006325307965501 :)
he looks like nepo
love my mom more than my brothers, so a queen it is
easy solution pay for it!
Nepo 💀
that exists?
A queen because you could make your opponents pawns disapere.
Two rooks is also good but not as fun as the queen
Rook checkmates are easier and are worth more in material advantage and are able to check/checkmate easier
We sac our women equally here
Nah its 2 rooks in disguise
why does he look like nepo
No just saying
Therefore 2 rooks are better than a queen
titled players, mods and staff
Guys if Queen wins I will sac it next game, don't tease me
imagine fighting to defeat your opponent on the battlefield and suddenly becoming the kings wife

stfu worst opening ever
because a tower is just material and queen is people
I have Twitch acc that I never used

White (btw i am not racist)
same man
you need to be streaming
to have the status
I'll from now
its all about personal preferences doesn't make you anything
think about it, the rooks will just defend eachother and possibly repeat moves until its a draw
A rook(tower) doesnt have feeling or emotions
@hasty mauve queen cuz why not
a queen so it's more satisfying to blunder
KEKW
but botez gambit mean draw
😂 😂
The queen, because its more accessible to the board, also it's easier to control it
It depend on time and king's vulnerability. If you have little time coordinating the rookd will be tough, and if the king is vulnerable the queen is likely to for a rook in the process. Considering that is an endgame , and no other pieces are remaining, rooks are generally better , because the threats that the queen can cause dissipate. In addition, it is likely that your rooks have chances to coordinate and defend themselves, and find many mating patterns that, with only the Queen you can't. Moreover , is easier I think to promote pawns with 2 rooks in your size rather than a queen. Because if you waste time with the pawn is possible to force an exchange of a rook for the queen and then win the game, in pro of avoiding your pawn to promote or something. I think it has more chances. Also engined proved in more games (as far as I know) that rooks are more effective thab a queen. Nevermind, I forgot I'm not stockfist.
botez gambit? that exists?
no
tldr
no pins today??
@hasty mauve two rooks cuz i prefer two homies over one girl
😂

queen
@hasty mauve I am mobile what streaming software shall I use?
Bro i would've chose queen if it looked like this
it's all in the article I linked you
two rooks because kissing the homies goodnight isnt gay. @hasty mauve
i dont reckon streaming on mobile
queen bc 9 points of material and not 10, therefore its harder
I could be your religion, yes 😃

W
eh why
Ñ?
Okay :)
im the greatest typoist of this solar system 😂 😂 😂
yeah
i will die
Anitta
connected so we know who to gift it to 😄
This is why 2 rooks better
So why not make a pinned message or do something so people can know that 😅
i cant find smth about mobile
i made up a poem:
roses are red,
violets are blue,
people say, in the endgame,
the rooks dominate and thats true
the queen may seem the strongest on the board
using her many strengths and her long swooord,
but the rooks when bored,
make up a team that cant be ignored
they fly across the ranks
like a pair of tanks
breaking all in their way
as if its nothing but ants
because for ages and beyond
the double rooks are to be feared upon
with the two rooks in play,
victory is is coming your way
you can stale with rooks too
imma sleep the chat is getting unrelated now
but it's harder
u can assure u, u havent even seen 5% of what i do 😂
two rooks ugh no one wants that
depending on what the end game looks like is key to the answer if we are talking a blank board 2 rooks no doubt if we are talking with pawns remaining than the queen since the queen can movement is less limited compared to rooks able to get behind the pawns more swiftly and hard to counter the danger of the queen tho is that you can accidentally cause stalemate if you are not careful however rooks have a harder time actively moving around and countering connected pawns so i would say that there is no correct answer and it all depends on the end game scenario and skill of the players.
oh shit i just noticed the question wasnt asking which piece(s) would win queen vs rook, ig im choosing queen
kekw
maybe 2 rooks are better so u can premove safely
flag ftw
is it nice?
it's easier to premove with the queen tho
nah we'll choose the winner tomorrow
you can do things like this with queen
Queen has no lore bro. On the contrary rooks, they are twins siblings come from the land afar with the purpose of finally finding a purpose in life and fullfilling it with god's will.
2 rooks can trap queen defend pawns, pin queen and leader mate
that would also be a mate if that queen was a rook tho

please don't chose a copy pasta
easy to blunder it though. with rooks, they're always guarding one another
leader mate
Wow that's too nice poem!
yea i realised just as soon as i posted it
my goofy aaaa
yeah but it's hard to make progress with two rooks
thanks ❤️
?
queen has trained for protecting the king and now that she finds a war she does her best to protect his beloved
flag 😂
🇪🇸🤝🇪🇸
yayayayay
queen cant castle tho
agreed
ratio
win by flagging>>> win positionally
queen has trained for protecting the king and now that she finds a war she does her best to protect his beloved
@hasty mauve i would prolly chose two rooks cuz 5+5 = 10 and queen is only worth an 8 so objectively i would do that
counterratio
Am I stupid or is that not actually mate? (pawn on G4 takes queen)
Flabbergasted, bewildered, timbers shivered.
classic 200 elo game
falls for it
white pawns going down
white is going down the board not up
that's highly creative
ah, so I am stupid
two rooks, here's why
-if you have a king and queen endgame, if you lose the queen you draw the game
-if you have a king and 2 rooks endgame, if you lose one rook you can still win
2 rooks better cuz my super gm grandpa says so
you can craft queen with one pawn, so its cooler
nah it's ok we've all done that before lol
based gramps
google castling
where she go
god im so dumb why did i name everything gibberish
bro you gonna castle in endgame?
...castle checkmate?
I love the queen its op 🤓
i will 😎
the queen is such a glass cannon bro
wait this is valid tho
literal glass cannon
Yes
-can take in the most ways
-you don't want to take those ways because you just hang it most of the time
in an endgame?
do it, i encourage you, it would be epic
ima counterpoem this mf
wait its rooks
i cant
damn
2 rooks too op
😂
that is what you call not so chessy
2 Rooks because you have 2 pieces:
With 1 rook you can pin other pieces to the king, while the other rook will get some pawns at the 7th rank. I feel like a Queen isnt able to do as much as 2 rooks can do.
they need to nerf the rooks
roses are red
i like to cook
this reminds me of that video
1 board 2 rook
💀
1 queen because a strong woman will take you further than just 2 loyal servants 🙇♂️

William Rooksfeared
ah yes wait wait i got one as well:
In the realm of chess, where battles are fought,
A question arises, a pondering thought.
Two rooks or a queen, which shall prevail?
Let us embark on a poetic tale.
The queen, a majestic ruler of might,
Her movements, a symphony, graceful and bright.
She glides with ease in any direction,
A formidable force, a strategic selection.
With regal steps, she claims the throne,
A central figure, the game's backbone.
Her power extends, her reach is vast,
She surveys the board, the die is cast.
Two rooks, a duo, united they stand,
A formidable alliance, hand in hand.
They move in harmony, side by side,
Their strength combined, a force to abide.
Yet, their mobility has its constraint,
Their paths restricted, their reach restrained.
In straight lines they tread, a limited range,
While the queen dances, unbound, untamed.
Her attacks, swift and unforeseen,
From all angles, she strikes, sharp and keen.
Multiple foes she can effortlessly engage,
A flurry of threats, a tactical rampage.
In the endgame, her reign shines bright,
Her prowess evident, her victory in sight.
While two rooks may struggle to mate,
The queen claims triumph, sealing their fate.
So, in this grand game of strategy and lore,
The queen stands proud, forevermore.
Her versatility, her might, her sway,
Make her the champion of the chessboard's array.
Choose her wisely, embrace her might,
With the queen's guidance, your path is right.
In her grace and power, victory resides,
A queen's triumph, where strategy presides.
rooks so u have a chance to castle checkmate
god not again
i had a castle mate before
damn bruh nice
replace the queen with this rn
the bishook
a birook
the rishop
h yes
@hasty mauve 2 rooks vs 1 Queen is a question with great depth In general 2 rooks will be better then a Queen here is the reason, the person with 2 rooks is able to bully the king, Ill give a very interesting example where Magnus was ready to Trade his Queen for 2 rooks in last years championship Against Nepo and when asked about why he wanted to do that he said that 2 rooks allows him more targeting of pawns and pieces in general. So opinion of Magnus support 2 rooks then a Queen. Reason 2 is the infamous bullyin the king on the seventh rank, a strategy approved by the engine since it makes the Queen of your opponent by herself very not mobile since u always gotta watch out for the king and the most times ending with a trade of queen for rooks but you won a pawn in the process. Now the Third reason which is the biggest W in my opinion is the multiple piece targeting since a queen can attack but it cant attack and defend at the same time Having 2 rooks is like having more opportunity for both attacking and defending since unlike the Queen you can both attack and defend with 2 rooks. Fourth reason is cordination of the pieces a Queen by herself is hard to play with since if the Rooks have acess to open files and the position is well defended making a breakthrough and winning pieces is very tuff and acess to open files by doubling up does not only allow you to bully the king but bully the Queen Since its a target for the rooks because u cant trade a Queen for a Rook if its your only piece. Reason Number 5 is The Idea of doubling up on a file itself since controling open lines is very useful unlike uncontrolled zigzags of the Queen. Reason number 6 is that 2 rooks can control more space then 1 Queen since and trust me i just opened the analysis on chess.com to make sure im correct. Number 7 The Rooks get better the more space that there is because firstly its easier to bully the king with 2 pieces>1 and its easier for the Queen to get pinned, nitro max words.
jesus christ
i work hard
bro wrote up a thesis for this istg 💀
😋
what a thesis
ok listen to this
-2 rooks = 10 value
-1 queen - 9 value
problem solved
Since it began i was writing
couldve just made a list like a list 😂
the numbers don't LIE
"King laughs at us all but all 2 rooks can do is ladder" -Roorkus Aurookius
did u really make this man i feel stumped
Rooks are literally stoics bro
Wrote more in that then i do my essays🤣

epic rap battles of history: team queen vs team 2 rooks
Queen is better cz queen alone has the potential to deliver checkmate on its own, whereas two rooks generally require more coordination to deliver a checkmate. Having a queen in the endgame can create more immediate threats to the opponent's king and force them to dedicate resources to defend against potential checkmate scenarios. And also the queen has a wider range of movement compared to rooks. It can move in any direction—horizontally, vertically, and diagonally—which allows it to cover more squares on the board. This increased mobility can be advantageous when maneuvering around the endgame and targeting the opponent's pieces or pawns.
black*
Generally speaking, two pieces are better than one. Both have their ups and downs though.
The queen has an amazing forking ability. But two connected rooks are also dangerous. I think it really depends on the situation and position.
Test test
black is still losing

Queen because she's royalty.
I mean think about it, the queen is basically a king -seeing it can move in all directions - but can go much much further.
The queen goes for it from the get go, she's the powerful one, but also a big target. Easy to win with but equally easy to lose and avoid those tempting queen trades with.
But the two rooks they don't even have to be developed early on unless you're castling; they don't have to die unless you're blundering them leaving b2,g2,b7 and g7 open for them to be taken out by a bishop or queen. Perhaps you'll leave c2 and c7 vulnerable for them to be taken out by a knight.
They are the guaranteed endgame piece.
But it's easier to avoid that if you're careful enough than losing a queen that's trying to get a job done in the middlegame.
Imagine how cooler it would be to have her in the endgame then? A true testament to one's skill
And also like Levi once said, it's our rooks we sacrifice to open up the opponents defence but the queen, you save the queen for the devastating blow.
And that makes the queen mate more precious to keep for the endgame.
And the two rook they can't mate the king whilst staring in his face; the queen can deliver the 1-0 whilst holding the enemy king at gunpoint.
Our two rooks would need some sort of support to do that.
So I'd mate with a queen any day, have a her reach the endgame and deliver the checkmate.
Yes

You can force a trade in the endgame in queens, but usually never with queens.
So the rook is the winning piece
2 rooks is better because in most* positions it has a better eval and since rooks allow for developing king's safety at an early* part of the game which usually results in a better position
plus you literally have +1 on material
when the only pieces left are 2 rooks and queen
2 rooks r objectively better than a queen if u are in a pure endgame without any pawns
Anyone choose rooks is sexist

nah i like sex
2 rookzzz

2 rooks having sex, 2 rooks having sex

question... are the pawns trans when they reach the end of the board or are all the pieces except for the king women

Well of course like every Good GM says it really depends on the position, though I feel like a queen could be better in some situations since lower level players simply don't know how to use the 2 rooks and have a 80% chance to lose 1 of them, then the other possibly, for intermediates could be similar though the chance of losing a rook is 40-50%, Advanced players know how to use the 2 rooks to their advantage, though of course a queen cannot stop 2 rooks connected in a file, or can't defend for example if 2 rooks are attacking a pawn only the king a queen could defend it and they could trade the 2 rooks for the queen, though if the king is farther, the queen can't defend it herself that's a advantage for the 2 rooks, now of course if the 2 rooks can check the king enough so it goes on a file to win the queen (mostly mean't for open positions where it's the move for the guy with 2 rooks), now if it's the person where it's the queens move, it's pretty simple to draw by repetition most of the time with the queen, now of course 2 rooks are worth 10 and the queen is 9, though the +1 material advantage doesn't really change much as everyone says, it's up to the position, so to shorten this, the queen is better in the middlegame for two rooks and two rooks would be personally better in a endgame, I feel like, though it's possible for the queen to be better as well, my personal preference is to have a queen for 2 of the rooks. if you are 400-1650, the queen is better, if you are 1651-2800, depends on position.
alright alrighty
queen because unlike the two towers i wouldn't be screwed if my opponent had a plane
a queen alone can never mate and always requires assistance from its other pieces, thus we know tht we will be needing the king's help and rooks on the same file or rank can be very op, as it can even technically "fork"(double attack) the queen and the king and it will not require the king's assistance. Thus, i conclude the 2 rooks, if on the same line r way better than a queen, if with safe hands
ay i found a site that worked
im baaaacccckkk
roses are red,
violets are blue
people say the ladders are for a fool,
but i say that the rooks are a tool,
to make the opponent drool
over your game which is so cool.
the rooks are so strong,
yet they never go wrong,
the queen just has a range that is long
but the rooks can change the game,
and give you the fame!!
together the both can tame,
the so called mighty queen
and make her wail,
outside the board
thus leaving the king weak and frail.
Epic poem
yesssir rooks supremacy
I think a queen has more viability, just for escorting alone
you know that... poems aren't just ending the last line with the same last syllable as in the previous line, right?
there's a rhythm to it
we know, but it was cool nonetheless 😎
hm yea
roses are red

i prefer 2 rooks
over a queen

Do I need to have my dms open for when I win btw ?
No, you will get a ping
Aight thxx
It's a very hard and complicated question. Queen can attack more squares but if a king protects something then the queen can be useless. Two rooks can be weaker if not connected but a bit stronger when connected imo. When you double up on the 2nd/7th rank the queen needs to protect the king and then you can make a bit progress. It just feels like you got more play with 2 rooks if they are the only pieces left in the endgame. In the middle game it is the opposite because the rooks are usually way less active and have a harder time to attack stuff and pressure weaknesses
Rooks because I only trust the boys, it is Sigma grindset month
nice
1
why
rook all the way
u can draw eaiser with rooks than queeen
this depends on what the other team has but 2 rooks would prob be more beneficial than one queen
other player not team lol forgot chess
a queen
why
I'm British so, queen
maybe at higher levels the two rooks can compete but at my level they're going to blunder a fork
at least assuming we're talking a queen-vs-two-rooks endgame
now, if we're saying which would I rather have against 3 minor pieces or something, probably the two rooks -- that way if I screw up and lose one, I still have a rook
I'm Irish, but I'd still rather have a queen than your King! :P
Generally speaking, I prefer to have the queen in anything but an endgame due to its versatility, but in an endgame I'd have to go with the two rooks. In a clean queen & pawns v two rooks & pawns the rooks simply control more squares than the queen, and can double up to pressure pawns. The queen however can only defend with limited value, and there is always an opportunity for the two rooks to sacrifice for the queen and an extra pawn into a king endgame. The more pieces there are on the board, the better the queen becomes, but I'd still have to go with the rooks as long as I'm confident in coordinating them.
writes long ass answer then hangs a fork against the queen:
ayo
although 2 Rooks have the oppertunity to sacrifice the ROOOOOOOOOK as some of us has pointed out already, queen´s just got more style in a endgame. After all its just the queen and you gotta respect that. Mobility after all is the best way to win and the options you got to checkmate are great. Also i need this free month, im trying to improve pretty fast right now but cant buy it myself so it would be nice.
you can use the rook to bait the queen out and go for the king
What did he do to you
specificly him
not the royals in all
no history
just him
The kings just trying to do his best
and who knows? you might live to see another queen
2 rooks because it's more interesting
In an endgame doubled rooks are more powereful than the queen. They just gobble up all pawns on seventh rank and don’t care if there’s a king or not. They’re a 2 way battery unlike the queen who can’t take pawns in range of the king
🤓: Depends on the positi...
I would say that the rooks will lose against the queen only if you disconnect them and hang a fork. Or if the side with the queen has strong connected passers. Otherwise the side with the rooks can't really lose. But the side with a queen can. Firstly, side with the rooks has more pieces, so if they attack one of the opponent's weaknesses, they will win it, because the side with the queen won't have enough defenders.
If the side with the rooks has an outside passed pawn, the queen won't be able to stop it. Because as long as the king is safe, one of the rooks will go and kick the queen from a blockade of the pawn.
So, there's a reason why 2 rooks are 10 points and a queen is only 9. In case of such an imbalanced endgame only one side is gonna be playing for a win. And it's not gonna be the side with a queen, who will only give checks hoping for a perpetual.
One example of such an endgame is a famous Game 6 from the World Chess Championship 2021.

nothing specifically to me but from what I've seen of him he's an asshole
🇪🇸🤝🇪🇦
🇪🇦🤝🇪🇸
While the rooks are technically stronger, I prefer having one piece that has a larger range - it's much easier to hang a rook!
Depends on the amount of pawns
but overall I'd pick the queen because cheeky forks
also is easier to play and flag with
queen because i said so (give me diamond now)
you could sacrafice the rook and if they dont take you could try to checkmate
I prefer 2 rooks.
- If they're low rated they're prone to easy ladder mates or backrank sacs that you can't do with only a piece
- It makes you look smarter being +1 xD
- Doubled up rooks on the seventh/second rank go brrrrr
i'll go with 2rooks if they work together ,they are lethal although having a queen you feel a bit safer
the queen
Because you can easily just find a way to fork the king and the rook
and the king with 2 rooks gotta keep those rooks connected
otherwise they will fall quickly
it's also important to make sure your king is not infront or behind your queen
because yeah
pins and skewers
I prefer the QUEEN
Compared to two rooks, the queen is way more flexible and adaptable. It can quickly shift between offense and defense as the game situation demands, and its long range capabilities mean it can strike in any direction, which is great for seizing the initiative and controlling the game.
Opponents are much more likely to blunder a fork with a Queen.
Although, two rooks can be useful in certain situations, but they can also get in each other's way and require careful coordination to be effective. The queen, on the other hand, is a versatile piece that can adapt to any situation and create powerful attacks on its own.
At the end it is a situational and individual preference. But due to queen being more versatile, it is preferred.
The queen can be used alone and its very powerful for mates and pawn eating in endgames
Also its more likely to do mates not stalemates
queen>rook but 2 rook > queen
It depends on how many pawns are left on the board. With few pawns the rocks because they coordinate well together but a couple of pawns can be enough to make a fortress. In such a case I would prefer the Queen because it's obviously more mobile and can dance around any left over pawns.
I prefer the Queen because of it's high mobility flexibility. The less pawns on the board, the stronger the queen becomes (in my opinion), as it will become incredible hard to coordinate your rooks together and any mistake will most likely cost one of your remaining rooks.
As safety net there is a high likelihood of perpetual check with a queen, so that you can always look for a draw if the positions starts to look losing.
For the rooks to deliver a checkmate, they have to be on separate files ( assuming very little to no pawns left ), which makes them an easy target for the queen.
Ultimately, both a Queen and two rooks can be useful, and the choice between the two comes down to the situation. For example, if you have 1 pawn on the e file and are up against another queen, 2 rooks would be best. 1 rook and the pawn could be used to defend against perpetual check, using the other rook to attack. It is also better against 2 rooks, as there is no danger of a pin, as you could trade the rooks and be up a pawn, easily winning. Against a pawn and Queen, I would still prefer the two rooks. They can collaborate much more easily, making attacks on the king, pinning pieces, etc. With no pawn, I take the two rooks every day, played solidly the opposing side has no chance of checkmate, while you can still create attacks on the opposing king with one rook.
Speaking of that, another advantage of this is just having more pieces, this way, you could trade off one of them but would still have valid material to do a checkmate.
Only times I would want a queen is in rare, obscure positions, like where I may be able to sacrifice it to take an opposing rook or piece, then promote a pawn and regain that queen.
I am also not as much of an attacking player, the Queen is a piece that is usually used very aggressively, something I dislike.
To conclude, I enjoy two rooks more because it is better in nearly all situations to defend against a draw and secure the win. Also rook checkmate is more fun than Queen!
Hello Anitta, Today I will be discussing which I prefer 2 Rooks or Queen in Endgame. First of all the queen is a very powerful piece which can fork many pieces at a time. Personally, I like having queens in the endgame because the king is usually exposed leading into checks and possible forks. I also like the Queen for another reason, It can diagonally travel which rooks cannot. I also think if the rooks are not connected or if the king is exposed then I would surely prefer the queen. Now, the last reason why I like the queen is because it is very easy to checkmate because of the amount of checks you can give to your opponent's king.
Well Lets see
Queen
-> The Queen Can forky forky
-> The queens more powerful
-> Imp in endgames
Rooks
-> 1 point Advantage
-> Can actually do ladder mate
-> Can skewer or pin queen
-> They can work together to mate.
The queen can fork move around the board faster
But the rooks can do ladder mate pin or skewer queen and are easier to work together to mate
I personally think that, in general, the rooks have to be locked to 1 rank or file or else the queen can very easily check the king till he skewers or forks one of the rooks. That means the mobility of the rooks are greatly reduced, so the queen would win. Also, although ladder mates are nice, a king-queen mate is fairly easy too.
As a side note to that, I have been in a few queen vs 2 rook endgames and have always won with the queen.
That being said, 2 rooks could be better in some positions where they can work together to mate the king while the queen is in such a position that it cannot intervene without being lost.
I would say 2 rooks because with the 2 rooks you have more mobilety and you can give the 2 rooks the job and not have to multitask unlike the queen. You can also checkmate the king faster with the rooks.
two rooks because it gives more tactical chances for both players
2 rooks
2 rooks, you can use the rooks to win the queen or attack the king, and if they are connected, the queen will have a hard time dealing with them.
along with this, the 2 rooks could double attack a pawn that will be hard to defend with only a queen
they could also work together to help with your promotion of your own pawn
skewer, take queen, king and rook mate?
It's a noob friendly option 😂
until they stalemate with it or blunder it
Ye it's always fun to do that 😂
I like to give the opponent one of the rooks and flex on them by using one rook to checkmate them.
because as an australian I want my queen back
well obviously at engine lvl its equal
we aren't on some master level. in 20 moves the guy with 2 rooks will blunder a fork and then its practically the easiest win in chess. queen winning def...
If The Rook is always connected in a Queen King vs King 2 Rooks its Prob a draw if played correctly
If The rooks arent connected there might be a chance of a Fork
I'd go for 2 rooks. Firstly, 5 + 5 > 9. Secondly, you have more pieces on the board (when only counting number of pieces), so more attackers. E.g. cutting of the king from the next file/rank. Then, there'll be chances of pinning the queen/skewering the king with the rooks, and also if you get to win the queen for the rook, it's winning. Things to keep in mind for 2 rooks is to keep them connected so that they can protect each other. That way, you wouldn't get those rooks forked by the queen. The opponent's queen will also try to give checks to your king relentlessly, so using a rook as a shield may be an option. With perfect play, this might be a draw, with the queen finding perpetual checks, but I believe 2 rooks can have a slight advantage over the queen.
Saying 10 > 9 is a very bad point. Knight (3) + bishop (3) =/= rook (5) + pawn (1)
While I do prefer two rooks as they can protect each other, attack, and defend better against a queen, it does really depend on your pawn structure, the number of pawns, and prefer two rooks as they can protect each other, attack, and defend better against a queen, it depending activity. Rooks usually only have their full power in open files, so if the pawn structure has an open structure with fewer pawns on the board, then two rooks dominate. On the other hand, a queen does not need an open file to dominate, as it also has diagonal power. It can switch from file or rank domination to diagonal domination in closed positions. If there are more pawns for two rooks, then two rooks win. If there are more pawns for the side with the queen, then the queen wins. The only exception is when even if the side with the rooks has more pawns but lacks an open file, the queen should still dominate. However, all in all, two rooks are better as they can coordinate devastating attacks and efficient defensive tactics.
2 rooks, they can protect even if far away unless you blunder
The ROOOOOOOOOOOK!!!!!!!!!
The queen is stronger, while two rooks can defend each other queens can zoom around the board checking the king till it forks it with a rook taking it out, then it’s easy to win
The queen is better because the rook gets sacrificed by gothamchess
plus this too^
This ain't end yet?
Aight since I failed bagging a female.
I'm going to give you all some knowledge about 2 rooks
Well first of all there's the queen, we'll call her Mindless Female (MF).
The MF is a one of a kind unless you're advanced enough to bag other MFs which is unlikely.
Sure the MF can move horizontally, diagonally and vertically but once you make 1 blunder you lost her.
On the other hand we have the 2 rooks, we'll call them Muscly Von Pump 1 and 2(MVPs).
The MVPs are brothers in arm, they help each other out and they win wars.
When do you see yourself winning with the MF? When you're playing with somebody very terrible or just because you can't checkmate with MVPs.
MVPs, why are they better? Besides from their chiseled jawline and killer physique that allows them to sprint from a-h 1-8 and back, they themselves don't know that they can have a devastating attack if not blundered.
Not done yet
I failed to bag a female
Ok. You can blunder BUT you only lose 5 pts not 9 pts and you don't look like an idiot.
What can you do with MVPs that you can't with the MF? That's right, climbing the ranks and getting higher elo, why? Climbing requires ladder, MVPs provide you with ladders, a MF cannot.
"But you can also ladder with MFs 🤓"
Lads, You don't need 2 MFs that's stupid you're stupid and you can't do anything without the MFs.
Get real, what do the MF give you? Problems and worries. They make you worry about blundering them.
Of course there are tons more reasons why MVPs are better but I'll leave that to the other W MVPs enjoyer.
And I lied of course I bagged the female because I know that 2 rooks are way better than a queen.
Have a great day.

its two rooks the rooks are more in points 5+5 = 10 > 9 and rooks are tricky mainly in blitz games like skewers and pins so i chose 2
W idea
i am gonna get diamond membership
Love the attitude but some people yesterday had poems
yeah
299-276
i still think that everyone under 1600 elo would sooner or later blunder one of the rooks
you crazy? after 30 moves you are bored so you play less attention and blunder
so you are agreeing that queen is better. yay
most people that don't take it 100% srs will lose focus on some point. i saw few clips of even hikaru and magnus losing focus cause they were bored
2 rooks are better because you can mate easier, and women are just kinda yucky
/j
1 queen vs 2 rooks fighting against eachother on the board would probably be a draw if kings are excluded
think about it
the rooks will protect eachother and probably repeat moves
queen for forking the rooks and king
eh you could probably get your opponent to blunder their queen by putting your king in between your rooks
both they are 2 different leagues imo
2 rooks can deliver mate with the right moves maybe in like 5 or 10
a queen can make different types of attacks and in an endgame can get like mate in 5 to 7 moves i understand if u disagree its just simply what i think
depends on the positions
and what pieces are in play
a queen can be better in some scenarios
but having two pieces are usually better than having one
More pieces and 1+ material
Rooks are good
queens to fork
Its easier to checkmate with two rooks than with one queen
I always lose in queen vs 2 rook end game 😦
queens can be funny rooks are only straight.
So queen vs two rook in endgame?
It's depend on position pawn and other piece. Queen have nice chances to fork rooks if rook are not connected for example this
https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1106055580688339095/1106055954732175380/Screenshot_20230511-082255_Chess.jpg
And if there is more pawn that would be nice for queen But as I looked if there is no pawn it's kinda like a drawhttps://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1106055580688339095/1106056132914581615/Screenshot_20230511-082723_Chess.jpg If rook are connected and opponent blunder then you can win it for example this https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1106055580688339095/1106056367132905472/Screenshot_20230511-083153_Chess.jpgThe queen can't defend one pawn without king if two rooks attacking ithttps://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1106055580688339095/1106056618614996992/Screenshot_20230511-083619_Chess.jpg so that's mean what is better two rook or queen? As you see it's depend :)
As I know I can't win but I wanna put my answers here :)
queens are much more easier to get a checkmate on than rooks
how r people thinking that its easier to checmate with a queen than 2 rooks in a standard q vs 2r endgame 😂 😂
thats just completely wrong 😂
haha what?
It really depends on the position but usually in endgames 2 rooks are better. A queen is at its strongest when paired with another attacking piece the best being a knight but when the queen is alone it becomes very weak and is hard to attack anything with. This is the most creative way I can explain it 😄
Actually rooks can skewer or pin eventually winning the position.
hm when does this activity end
I disagree with your reasons but the way you said it makes it deserving of diamond membership without a doubt
like some people might make solid reasons or create poems, but what you said is truly an answer for the ages
two rooks are better than a queen because they are more versatile. They can attack from a distance, and they can defend their own pieces more effectively. However, a queen can be very powerful in certain positions, such as when it is attacking the opponent's king also if you are faced with the choice of taking a queen or two rooks it is important to consider the position of the pieces on the board if the two rooks are well-coordinated and the queen is not, then the two rooks will be more powerful
rook better
Honestly like I just participate for fun and if I did win I'd probably tell them to make a giveaway.
Good point.
Actually.
If we have another attacking piece that goes with the 2 rooks or queen the results may vary since it could be a knight or Bishop or whatever. Also depends on how you use them and the pawn placement.
Are they in good squares that are constantly putting pressure or are they doing nothing?
We won't actually know unless we have the position but in this case the poll isn't specific about it.
Being intelligent is way better than being with woman istg
Continuing.
In the poll it says "Which do you prefer? ", theres actually no right or wrong answers, it depends on the level, the play style, the knowledge that the player has about the game of chess.
As a 1000 something elo I'd say the rooks are better in an endgame, what are your thoughts?
(On my phone so I don't have the Arab Kitty pic)
Well actually.
In conclusion I have no idea, chess is fun but I also hate it.
I DO HAVE IT
What about queen Vs 30 rooks???
Irrelevant.
BUT.
The rooks will take half the space on the board and the queen will most likely get traded of for a rook.
Actually.
That is not likely to happen in a game.
I prefer two rooks over a queen because I always blunder my queen and ladder mating is easy
If the rooks aren't connected and it's the queen's turn, then the queen will absolutely win as the queen can continuously check the king until it has forced the king into a position where it can fork the rooks.
If the rooks are connected and it's the queen's turn, then it depends on where the kings are. If the queen's king is close to the rooks' king, then they can force the king to an edge of the board for a king-queen checkmate. If the kings are disconnected by the connected rooks, then it is almost impossible for the queen to checkmate, so the queen will continue checking until the 50-move-rule stalemate occurs.
If the rooks are connected and it's the rooks' turn, then there's a chance that, in a perfect position and with perfect play, they can somehow force a queen-for-rook trade by checking when the queen is on the same file/rank as the king, or possibly even pin the queen to the king, but otherwise it'd probably be a draw from 50-move-rule as very little progress can be made.
If the rooks are disconnected and it's the rooks' turn, then, in some positions, they can force a ladder mate and/or king-rook mate as the queen may be forced to get traded for a rook to stop getting ladder-mated instantly.
Hence, overall, 1 queen is slightly better than 2 rooks as the queen can win in more positions than the rooks
Great argument.
Rooks because 5+5 is 10, which is larger than 9
🧔🏻♀️
this si the most stupid logic of them all. queen can fork all 3 together in 30 moves
That's because you play bullet.
i play rapid too and a lot
more then bullet
but most of the times when you get queen+king vs rook+rook+king endgame both players have like 1 min spared
what an original joke. i couldn't think of better one. great job
ik I’m so funny
now go to sleep its late
two rooks are better because you can sacrifice 2 of those not just one queen🤝
depends if its beginning middle or end
in the endgame 2 rooks by themselves are better than a queen
but anywhere else a queen would be better
1 answer, the rook lift. No other piece goes to the gym.
💯 😂
Got to be the queen because i can fork and make the knight sad after him forking me for so many years
it got to be a two rooks because you don't need a king for checkmate and at endgame 2 rooks can better job than a queen .If you need a king to checkmate and enemy have 1 rook and you have 2 rooks you can threat enemy with fork and he can't take if he takes he loses for this 2 rook better than a Queen.
Two rooks.
There's a bunch of reasons:
1.There's a better chance that you won't stalemate.
2.You can protect each other.
Even if you lose one rook you can checkmate with one rook.
3.easier checkmates.
4.You can make bigger threats with two rooks.
5.Better against passed pawns.
6.More strategic possibilities.
7.Rooks are worth less.
8.Are great pieces (probably best) with the help of the king.
These are all of my reasons why two rooks are better than a queen
Depends on the position m8
But in most position 2 rooks are better specially in endgams but when you launch an attack on the King for example in the mid game Queen is obviously better
queen better
bruhh, you all forgot that in chess everything is about position, sometimes pawn can deliver mate, while queen can be trapped and useless...
Queen is better because a queen can jump around the board like in real life but the rooks can only move horizontally and vertically now this proves the matrix theorem because of the formula queen=2 rooks-2 pawns where if we subtract 2 rooks, queen-2 rooks=-2 pawns, but what is worth as much as a queen? A king. so now 2rooks plus king=-2 pawns, but what are we? we are pawns, so 2 rooks plus king=humans. What do humans look up to? the queen, so 2 rooks plus king= queen. So queen therefore is greater than 2 rooks.
but when I tested this theorem using multiple trials(approximately 20) There turned out to be a discrepancy in my answers when I look at the data plots. As elo increases, the chances of rook endgames winning increases
It was a linear graph with a positive slope, so I recalculated and dug in even further into these formulas
At first when I madethe matrix formula queen=2 rooks-2 pawns I mistakingly thought that a queen is worth as much as a king, which is false
So I made a new formula to calculate which of the 2 pieces is better, the Elo theorem
as elo increases, the chances of 2 rooks winning increases
So I plugged the numbers in and heres is the mathemetical equation to find out if Queen or 2 Rooks is better
Just a pretending smart way of saying that noobs choose queen 😂
Sigma0/Elo(100(Elo^3/4))>.000577778*

we talking endgames...
we are talking about endgames?!
I prefer queen, cuz queen is queen, the most powahful piece
Epic embed fail 😂
Ooh endgames ? I didn't read the title 🤣 ye 2 rooks
really depended on what the end game looks like
Of course but most positions rooks should be better
A Queen is too reliant on other pieces and in the endgame since you don't have many connected rooks can do more
both lose ( like usa and uk)
a queen because it has more mobility
A queen as it has a good chance for mating and would be more active on a board compared to 2 rooks and using the queen's diagnols, you could fork your opponents pieces more easily. If my opponent had a queen in an endgame, I would be more careful than if they had two rooks.
when will the winner be announced
ladder mate with rooks
its just sad to see so many people explain their choice as queen with absolutely inaccurate statement(s) 😂 😂
only someone really stupid could get laddermate when you have 1 queen
don't you wanna say that you can win on opposition too?
2: Bros before hoes.
If we're talking about lower elo players (-800). It should be better to have a queen against 2 rooks. Because it has a higher probability for the 2 rook player to blunder a fork. If you are a higher elo rated(+800). It is definetely better to have 2 rooks. GM's(1800+) should have the game drawn. So both options are practically the same. It's all game in the elo and nothing else.
A queen at the right position can eliminate the thread of ladders mate
This is still going on.
Damn.
Knowing I have the best argumenting skills makes me sleep well.
Like this
And not
This
i think even 1200 elo players can blunder in 2 rook vs queen position
you have the worst. you just say random stuff and then leave for 2 days
gota be the two rooks i always trade my queen for two rooks and i win everytime
I hoped you understand satire.
Haha
Probably 2 rooks. Even though the queen is a mor valuable piece, the rooks can outnumber the opponents pieces. A fork with the rooks is devastating, but can still work out. Since a queen and a rook have two of the same directions (up down, side to side) I believe the rooks can overpower the queen. Although a queen can be more useful in some endgames. The rooks usually stay on the board, and it is better to trade of the queens to get into a faster endgame. The rooks will dominate the board by overwhelming the opponents defense.
dude this isn't about how probable is this happening this is about what would happen if your king got in endgame with one pawn vs two rooks and you somehow still made a queen
Rooks can defend each other while attacking opponent. Two pieces can overall do more than one queen
if there is pawns a queen would be better
Because quantity over quality☠️
Rooks are technically worth 10 points instead of 9 like the queen. You are also less likely to stalemate with a rook.
In this endgame masterpiece, the two rooks weave a tale of unity and synchronization. They form an unbreakable bond, each enhancing the other's strengths. With their combined might, they become an unstoppable force, dismantling defenses and seizing control of the board.
And as the curtains close, the two rooks stand side by side, their performance hailed as a masterpiece. Their exceptional teamwork, strategic brilliance, and captivating presence have proven that in the endgame, two rooks can outshine even the mightiest of opponents.
So, when faced with the choice, embrace the poetry of the two rooks. Let their synchronized dance guide your victory and leave a lasting impression on the chessboard stage.
u asked for creative i gave u one 😉
W answer
so what you basically said. 2 pieces is more then one. no that is not creative that is just creative way to say it
also if they are on the same row they can't mate. queen alone still can. so this is useless
you are just proving my points
queen is better in every scenario until its not 2200+ elo game
queen because of limitless opurtunites
Being honest two rooks are better. Rooks are good because if keep them united they can get better ranks and destroy opponent. But queen alone can do also a great job moving king to certain position going with your king. There are more endgames were rooks win against a lonely pawn than queen one. And in a final were 2 rooks play VS. a queen your completely loosed unless your opponent is a dumb. If they are almost no pieces in the board you can sac one rook and still have King and Rook checkmate. And if i have some orthographic error it's because i'm Mexican, and i'm still on elementary school.
care to read what i wrote my man, thats not what i basically said
ayyyy
🤓

If you didn't write it like philosopher i wouldn't even answer
dont make sense buddy
nonetheless its up to the mods to decide ✌️
yea? how
Would be fun to see something like this happen when checking answers here 😂😂😂
A queen and a king can deliver checkmate quickly as the queen is able to move sideways and vertically, allowing it better mobility in the endgame, thus making it the best piece in the endgame. Although the queen is able to move very freely, the sideways movement may sabotage the winning position by placing the opponent king in a stalemate position unintentionally. Two rooks do not risk a stalemate as much as a queen and a king. The two rooks can easily cover escape routes for the king and the opponent king will almost always have sufficient squares to move to, thus not risking a stalemate for the winning team.
In the event where two rooks faces off a queen, the two rooks can trade off one rook for the queen and still be able to win the game. Although if the side with the queen can force the two rooks to lose connection, the queen can easily take away a rook without losing itself and gaining an advantage, though this can be prevented by ensuring that the rooks are connected at all times.
Additionally, a blunder does not impact two rooks as much as a queen. A rook and a king is sufficient enough to checkmate the king. Losing a queen however will forve the game into a draw by insufficient material.
In conclusion, two rooks can beat a queen and is better in the endgame. Although the queen have the movement of a bishop and a rook combined, this can bring about disadvantages to the winning side as the sideway movement of the queen can cause unintentional stalemate. However, two rooks are able to avoid stalemate easily as the movement is simpler.
Winning with the queen and the king is riskier
only idiot would get ladder mated when they have queen
depends on the situation, and who youre playing
dude you are playing vs 2 rooks with 1 queen in this scenario stop saying what if
there is not a single what if
just state facts
idk what you guys are on. this is supposed to be channel about talking who would win. either queen or 2 rooks and everyone who is voting for the 2 rooks always has some what if
60 extra people wrong, hmm this is getting worse, sad
2 rooks are better, cuz more pieces are better
how do you wanna shoulder/ ladder mate when queen is still on the board. and if they are on the same row they can't even mate so rooks are useless
they either have to protect each other or mate
two pawns because i will turn them into two queens
Gigasmart
rooks can easily skewer the queen and forks can be blocked if the rooks are connected
it also depends if you know chess.... you can easily fork 2 rooks with a queen but if you play correctly... 2 rooks can beat a queen. Also it's harder to stalemate with 2 rooks
rook cuz queen cant ladder mate
Fr
because of ladder mate
2 rooks is simply superior because of ladder mate and the existence of pins and skewers. If there are still pawns on the board, then still 2 rooks because 2 is greater than 1. Sure, a queen can fork, but you don't have to let that happen by keeping the rooks connected.
2 rooks easily wins vs a queen, 2 rooks can capture a queen by protecing eachother, ahd if queen forks, the rooks can protect eachother easily and then move the king till the queen goes away
are you guys really that dumb? only under 400 elo players can lose to ladder or shoulder mate when they still have one queen up
also if rooks are on the same row the whole game they can't win
bro this disqusion is going on for 2 WEEKS
2
If the position does get to the point where you can start ladder mating, the best you can do is trade your queen for 1 rook, and then the rook and the king can win.
in the early game, a queen is almost always better in my opinion, but if its an endgame, i would almost always choose 2 rooks
Queen
see the gay among us cripsy says its queen
Queen > two rooks, one less piece you could blunder
2 rooks cs more points :)
Rook cuz pins and gotham
This is the same logic as saying you would win vs pro in fps game just bcs he could use one hand. Yes there is a Chance but there is much bigger chance that the queen takes one rook and then you are basically screwed. Just bcs you got slight advantage it doesnt mean you automatically win. You need to check on only one piece when you are using the queen when you are using the rooks you need to check 2 pieces that you can't lose
And also if you want to mate the king you gotta put the rooks on different lanes that means they can't protect each other. Queen can win just by only checking the king and randomly blocking him with your own rook. Also this an disadvantage too. The more you have the bigger the chance you block your own king. Queen is 100 times better then the 2 rooks in every scenario
Open position two rooks any day closed position queenmore preferred over rooks (obv still very positional dependent)
Both combos are extremely versatile in their own rights
Not the right comparison
No offence but this is extremely shallow understanding of the question posed
But again
People are entitled to their own opinion ig
💯 😂
2 rooks, however queen if rooks are not connected.
If its late game then id rather have a queen, I find that its better for the position because it can check the king from many more positions and can help pawns promote better then two rooks could.
How many times does it have to be said there is no ifs it's just queen vs 2 rooks
No
bro im js tryna be dumb calm down
also the last sentence in this is very wrong, each combo is good in its own position. There are millions of possible positions in chess, so saying that one queen is better than rooks in some positions is incredibly arrogant, also replying to a dumb comment with two paragraphs on YOUR own opinion is very arrogant aswell. Please educate yourself on manners and how to state your own opinion.
