Playing as White
Top move: 31. Rxb6 !!
I was in a losing position until this opportunity for a double exclam tactical shot!
Sacing my rook for the opponent's knight which was doing double duty:
- defending the c8 square which was important to control, to help defend against my pawn promotion
- blocking the b file allowing my b7 pawn to be captured by the b8 rook
After the queen exchange due to discovered attack (rook was buffering the two queens the previous move),
31. ...Qxc2
32. Rxc2
My rook is left on the open C file, ready to roll down to the c8 square for a possible double attack on the black rook and king (check).
Removing the black rook, the last obstruction for my pawn to promote, wins.
