My 8-year-old son's account has been closed for allegedly violating the Fair Play policy. We appealed, but it was denied. We are convinced he did not cheat.
The situation:
My son is only 8 years old and plays chess passionately, several hours a day
He takes private chess lessons and plays at a local chess club
His official Dutch Chess Federation (KNSB) rating has risen from ~840 to ~1490 in one year
He is currently ranked #1 in a regional youth tournament standings
His Chess.com improvement matches his documented OTB progress exactly
In our appeal, we included links to his official chess federation profile and tournament results to demonstrate his genuine improvement.
My questions for the community:
Has anyone experienced a similar situation with a young child?
Is there a way to file a second appeal with additional evidence?
Would it help to record videos of him playing his games as proof?
Are there alternative ways to contact Chess.com for cases like this?
It is very frustrating because we have all the documentation to prove his real growth. Any advice is welcome.
