well, i still go to school, i might be wrong, however i rarely get to know people who are actually interested in either, but you should probably share your creation publicly like on youtube or different platform, and make a quick montage explaining your game, so people can get to know what you actually made. I think thats the only way to show people.

I try to bring as much game into a sheet of paper (or ten) while keeping replayability high and time per session low.
DotA, chess, and MtG made me like ~20-40 min sessions.
Roll4Rum is a pirate themed roll & write where you have to tactically maneuver better than your opponents.
Essence turned into a full ttrpg with low rules and scaling challenges.
VoidRoll is the upcoming (Nov 25th) successor of Roll4Rum and turned into a full euro game.
That will be my highlight of the year 🙂
